So I traded in Pro Evolution Soccer 08 at 1-Up Games, not that the Wii version doesn't have its own charm...I'm just not coordinated enough to move my players around the field and concentrate on the ball-carrier at the same time. Anyway! I noticed they had Guardian Heroes for sale so I snapped it up, taking the trade-in into account, I got it for £2!
Pretty nifty methinks.
Well, this afternoon I got a brazilian Megadrive II for only 4 dollars and I'm almost sure it works perfectly (I still have to get some carts to test it), probably the cheapest unit I'm gonna find around here :D
Finally got one of these this morning,
On play-asia it states " Notice: Due to the shelf time of this product, packaging might be not in perfect condition"
It doesn't state that the controller will be removed from the packaging and used, then put back in - covered in dust.
It doesn't state that the game seal will be broken and fingerprints placed on the disc (They must be an optional extra).
It doesn't state that there will be a rolled up piece of sticky-tape stuck to the bottom of the game case which (when unrolled) has half a 'Playstation' logo on it.
It doesn't state that the manuals plastic bag's seal will be ripped and manual flipped through.
It doesn't state that the consoles will be removed from the boxes and stacked on top of each-other (There's oval rubber feet marks on top of the plastic-y cover on the top of the conole)
I'm not too impressed, but the console itself is perfect so that makes me happy.
It seems that Play-Asia have just thrown the package together, or opened them all. Or something. Don't know.
Doesn't look like the work of customs, they wouldn't have consoles to stack (unless it was like that from the factory)
In other news: It's a 1.0 or a 1.1, It's rockin' a Sammy, a WD HDD, and it's the quietest xbawks I've got.
Happy now.
Edit2:
And in addition to all that, It wouldn't boot last night when I got it home from work.
Brand new.
Wouldn't boot.
Froze at the flubber screen.
I eventually got it to boot, put the unit on it's side and it booted. Me thinks the HDD has been knocked around too much - Didn't try it again this morning.

Kind of frustrating despite the cheap price! Glad I never went for one in the end. :evil:Originally Posted by JackAz!
Yeah, It sucks. I was going to get a couple more.
Oh well, I've hot-swapped it and It's got a 320gb in it now.
Now I can stream movies to my bedroom again. Yay!
Ok let me see
we (My Girlfriend and I) got...
A box with two woody atari's and 18 games and a load of controllers for £2.
A Playstation 2 tool for £20 (plays everything!) It's a computer bolted onto a playstation 2 for development originally costing thousands.
Two mega drives 2s for £2
A box with 5 snes's in for £8
Secret of Mana game for the snes for £1 and the next day got one for 50p
A playstation 2 for £1 and after I cleaned it it worked perfectly
Found a N64 in a dump (while I was throwing away stuff) with 2 controllers and all leads but missing the video card which only cost me 50p.
My friend bought a PS2 for £2 buy it didn't work so I opened it up to clean and adjust it and found a small hair on the lens and now that works too.
A PS 1 with Micky mouse game 2 memory cards and controler for £1

PS2 for = £1 is pretty good going. Our local Second hand store is putting out 'faulty' PS2 units for £5 each, or £4 each if you buy handfuls. I've bought a few and brought them back to life.
you got...WHAT?!?Originally Posted by andre31t

'It's a special edition playstation?'
I wish there were idiots where I live with access to stuff like that. :P
:icon_bigg A PlayStation 2 Tool for £20 (the guy wanted £25)

I saw this at a bootsale and after a few people walked and didn't buy it. I called my girlfriend  (she gets the bargains cheaper) to ask about it. she came back with it for £20.
apparently there were 7 of them from a software company which went bust. Sony took back 6 and left 1. the guy was told to clear the warehouse and he stuck it the back of his van and took it to a bootsale.
wrong thread for those TOOLs, they'll fit into the Free Stuff thread way better :D
Nothing really special, but I got an Xecuter 3 modchip for free yesterday.
:oh: What a bargain! We know what a TOOL is btw, you don't have to tell us. ;-)Originally Posted by andre31t
yeah, thats a great price for that tool!
You may laugh at the "special edition playstation" but in actual fact my first Playstation Tool was a badly listed eBay item. The guy had it listed as "Playstation2", with no other references and I stumbled across it by accident.Originally Posted by JackAz!
Luckily he has said "open to offers" so I emailed him and he offered it to me for a really cheap price. In his own words he said "My mate gave it to me and I decided to sell it as neither of us could get it to play games..." he really DID think it was a large Playstation2. Nothing more, nothing less.
It wasn't as cheap as £20 though... that guy thought he got the last laugh, but he didn't.
Just stopped by my local Goodwill and made a small killing.
Two almost new PS3 sixaxis controllers for $3
a complete copy of Panzer Dragoon for $3
and a Gamecube gameboy player for $2
Out the door for $8 total.
man... this thread is crazy...
