Very few CD-i things are worth any kind of money
I once got the most MONSTER collection of retro games for £100 off a friends brother who needed the money fast.
I was not a collector at the time so I sadly sold most of it.
But included was:-
3 x PC Engines and 30-40 games
Snes and 40 boxed games
Megadrive and Mega CD and 32X and loads of games
SMS,NES,Gameboy,and other common stuff
Loads more stuff like Game and Watch I can no longer remember!
What made it so good, was all games were good ones, all mint and all boxed.
I also have my own toy/game shop and get loads of people bring stuff in and say"I just wanna get rid of it",not a good thing to say(got 2 Streets of Rage 3 in one week for £1 each).
Title really tells the story, but I noticed that HMV are selling off their GBA titles for as little as £4 each. They are all decent, brand new & boxed titles. I picked up a couple for the little fella (currently behind me playing Cars).
Grabbed the very original Sonic the Hedgehog comic today on ebay for £2 in mint condition. Mycomicshop.com have just emailed me to say they'll give me $250 dollars for it.
I think I'll keep it.
Are the sonic comic really worth that much? as i have a box full of them in the loft, plus most of the original annuals, and some obscure adventure gamebook things as wellOriginally Posted by Twimfy

It depends on what you have and when you sell it.Originally Posted by diddydonn
In the UK market (i'm going by ebay here) early editions of Sonic the Comic sell for peanuts whereas the late editions (issue 150 onwards) sell for a little bit more. Some of the last issues can go up to £30 a comic.
Annuals don't sell for much.
Poster magazines always fetch around £10-30 each.
In the US market the early editions and mid issues such (about 99-140) sell for more as do the special editions and spin off series.
What I purchased from ebay was an independent promotion (see picture) and comes in two varieties US or UK edition, the US one being the more sought after due to its limited numbers, smaller size and the fact that its printed on recycled paper as apose to the glossy format of the UK version (and therefore harder to preserve.)
I already have a UK copy and I've also sold one which went for £75 but as this purchase proves; it just depends on whose looking. At this moment in time Sonic comic auctions are slim on the ground and amazingly I managed to get this for so little.
I hope that answers your question and sorry everyone for going OT please move/delete if necassary.

Got a NES, Genesis, and Playstation system, controllers for all, a game or two for all (around 5 or 6 genesis), plus the Nintendo Advantage (I think, the joystick controllers), 2 of them actually, and a powerpad. From a local yardsale, use to hang out with them a lot and was actually the first Powerpad I ever saw when I was little, so its cool to have. Apparently we missed out on a bunch of other stuff too
Several years ago I found a Super Wild Card DX2 for the SNES on a sunday market. A kid on a blanket was selling it, I wonder how he got it to begin with, he wasnt even born when those were popular :)
Anyway he asked 1 Euro for it, to be fair I gave him 10 and he was very happy. Back then Super Wild Cards sold for around 200+ Euros, by now they seem to have dropped. Anyway I used the thing for myself and not profit, I sold it when I moved to Japan though :( That was my only ever "miracle find"

I have found some pretty great deals at the local shop the past couple days. I searched through a bargain bin of 500+ discs and found:
PSX - Intelligent Qube $2.50
PSX - G Darius $2.50
In another bin I found PS2 Suikoden III for $7.99. I thought it was a mistake since most shops charge $24.99 used for it.
And finally today I asked about Chaos Field for GC and he said he would special order it for me from another store....the price??? FREE! It is zeroed out in their system but not blacklisted so I just had to pay $6.00 for shipping.

I found in a montreal's HMV a Dream Theater cd entitled "Live Scenes from New-York" with the original cover, featuring the liberty statueand the two towers burning, it was released Septembre 11 2001 :oh:. This was took out of the shops as soon as the tragedy happened and replace with one with another cover, much more appropriate for the date.
I found it in the "metal" section in June 2007 and it was 40% off because it was old, it seems like this one is a real survior ...
This might sells for a little fortune later, but for now I paid it like 30$ and could sell it for 80$.
My only true miracle find...

I've got a couple crazy finds... Most recently was a PS2 Test for $70, which was hiding in the trade-in pile at the store I work at. I bought a Super Famicom Street Fighter 2 Turbo for $6 and a Famicom Contra for $5 at Value Village. Found a Sega Saturn with all the cords, 2 controllers, and 5 games next to the dumpster in my old apartment building (that place was great! everyone left old computers down there!). Got a boxed complete NES Zelda, Super Mario, and Dragon Warrior for $10 each. Bought a Korean Goldstar 3DO for $20 with Need for Speed and a controller (had to swap the transformer since it was for 220v).
Best one, though; when I still worked for Radioshack, they were throwing out their video game cabinet, so naturally it made it's way into my apartment complete with the Nintendo and Playstation branded shelves and the backlit Playstation sign. Picture linked here...

Not bad for free, I say!
WHOA! Looks like you have an awesome collection. Can't wait to see more of it! I'd love one of those cabinents. :nod:Originally Posted by tertiumsquid
Hehe, thanks! The rest of my collection is not quite awesome deals like the rest of this thread, but it's still pretty awesome! 229 games and 43 consoles (25 different ones), last time I counted.Originally Posted by graciano1337
I just realized I forgot one other awesome deal. Again, back when I was working at Radioshack, I had a customer come in with a CDI-360 looking for a power adaptor. Naturally, we didn't have any, and I had mentioned that this was something I had never seen before, so they told me to keep it!
Also, I traded my brother an old cellphone for his Virtual Boy... Call that a deal if you like...
Awesome! And welcome to the forums! :icon_biggOriginally Posted by tertiumsquid
