The Colony..

Just saw for the second time another episode of this.

For those who do not know, this is a reality-type show, but its fake, of course. The setting is post apocalyptic and a group of adults find refuge at 'the colony'. They all have to work together to survive.

The episode I just saw focused on them trying to generate power for their battery bank to have electricity. They managed to get a generator to generate enough power running off of wood gas, which is ingenious and was impressed by it. the show has placed 'bandits' that will come out at night and wrek havoc (although they are given orders not to attack, but apparently the survivors do not know this).

I think the show is alright. It's not perfect, but it does kinda act like a training gig on what to do in these types of situations, although the surroundings seem very ideal but in reality that might not be the case.

Has anyone else seen this? What are your thoughts?

This show reminds me about that Onion video about kids learning how to survive such a setting by todays games lol. I think the producers got the idea for the show from that lol.

I've watched both episodes.. and have enjoyed it so far... I'm glad that it isn't your normal "reality show" style.. with people getting voted off etc.

But at the same time i find it rather hard to believe that that many "highly Skilled" people would be in 1 group of surviors... there are like 2 engineers a doctor and a nurse etc.

I also like how the show is interrupted by the Psycologist and other "experts" that kind of give commentary as to what is going on with the people...

If defense wasn't their first priority then they would all be dead and the show is moot.
