Playing US/PAL cart/CD on JPN Wondermega

what's the best way to run US/PAL MD cart/CD on JVC Wondermega?
As you can understand I don't want to do any physical mod with this one so some kind of adaptor would be great...

never been a MegaDrive user myself I'm bit lost here... :p

    cheers

p.s. What's the main difference between Wondermega and Victor Wondermega M2?

That's right or at least from what I've seen. I've seen 6 or 7 JVC (Victor) Wondermegas over the last 6 years in Japan but only 2 Sega ones. THe JVC Mark II Wondermega is a load of crap. All sexy features are gone and it looks like a heap of steaming cack.

To play imports on the Wondermega you have two choices if you don't want to hack open the system. Choice 1 is to buy a Datel converter. These are really hard to find though. Choice 2 is to copy your games to CDR then change the country code to JPN using a nice bit of software that you can find on the net. Can't remember what it's called now.

That's right. THis is the info from the old one I have on myhard drive

    SCDConv v2.50 - (c) 1999 by Eidolon - http://eidolon.psp.net

There's a much newer version out there now. Probably can be found in the same place as this old one. Or try http://www.zophar.net/

SCDConv is ancient, ConvSCD is far better. Neither are good (and Datel carts are horrible.) The absolute only way to play all games is to install a switching BIOS.

I'm pretty sure the Datel CDX Mega CD convertor doesn't work on the WonderMega because the bios is slightly different.
