Great find!
How common are spine cards with PAL Mega CD games? I don't think I've ever seen one before this auction (I've even got a couple of games new and they didn't have spine cards).
the guy is asking way too much cash for that game but i see things have gone boxed sega consoles have shot up in price
heres a website that has pictures of spine cards for other games

I guess they were just keeping up the Japanese style of publishing CD-games as the Mega CD was the first CD-based console in the West and nobody experienced the uselessness of spines over here before.Originally Posted by Yakumo
You could argue, however, that music CDs, books and vinyls came without spine-cards either. ^^
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?
In Portugal not a single game came with a spine card.
By law all games sold in Portugal must have a portuguese instruction manual, so that means the main Sega distributor had to open every single game to put a portuguese manual inside so all the spines were removed and destroyed in that process...
The only ones I ever got with spines came from abroad or were "illegal" european imports
I've seen more copies of Sonic CD with the spine card than I have big box versions of the PC port.
