Hucards are still the best gaming media to date in terms of awesomeness.

And the hardware looks insanely sexy - mint condition white PC Engine is still the sexiest machine ever.

Running on the PCE it *still* looks good today.

short answer, he lived in Greece. By the time I was a California resident it was N64 time and I being a kid with a limited budget, retro wasn't really an option. It is now, but I have no funds to spare, no space to comfortably lounge the thing and no idea what I m missing out. That said, I was selfless enough to PURCHASE a title on the VC, just to be on your friends' list =)

I've never played one, but I have wanted to. But what does OBEY have to do with the PCE?

    In time you will know.

Yeah, cause it's the JP design with with a different logo, unlike the console :banghead:

Uh, did you get lost? Your list pretty much defines Assembler

That's pretty much the criteria I use for whether something stays in my PCE collection.

I'll give you more than 5 good reasons :icon_bigg :

    From Tatsujin's list:
    Winds of Thunder - stg
    Star Parodier - stg
    Devil Crash - pinball
    Galaga '88 - stg
    Soldier blade - stg

    From my list:
    PC Denjin - stg
    Gamola Speed - action
    Mesopotamia - platform/action

I have many more games for the system that I enjoy, but the handful of games above are overkill for justifying owning it. I'd own a Coregrafx, just for PC Denjin!

I've still yet to play a PC Engine emu that doesn't vomit all over Magical Chase.

Woah woah woah. No Turbowhatever talk here. Don't sully the thread, please.

It was awesome in '88 when I first got to play on one. Still awesome now. So few duffers (strategy and hentai aside obviously) in a fairly large library.

I think he said that because the Turbografx designs suck pretty bad

Never had a PC Engine, wish I had one but wouldn't even know where to start with the games.

I owned a PC-Engine DUO once and loved it. Unfortunately I had to sell it though. Someday I might get another one but you can still enjoy the system with emulators. One of my favorite games is Lords of Thunder personally.

I used to have an RGB modded PC Engine Duo R. There's some really excellent games on the system; it's regretable sometimes that I sold it.

If I could get my hands on a reasonably priced minty LT I'd consider getting back into the system. I would however want a Super CD-Rom2 and the seemingly rare converter as I wouldn't want to restricted to just Hu Cards.

Winds & Gate of Thunder are two of the finest shooters I've ever had the pleasure of playing.
