I believe that's the water detection sticker, If it turns completely pink or red (Can't remember :P) if it gets wet for the use of the validation of the warranty. Or something like that!

    how to restore/backup game SAVES?

is there any way to load my Advance wars / pokemon game saves onto this device?

if theres no way to backup game saves to PC, then it makes this thing quite useless.

BTW, when i hold Start+Select and turn it on, it just shows some weird bios screen, so SPlink with parallel cable wont work.

DealExtreme now has another clone - with 498 built-in games! (but I read somewhere that 100 are GBA and the rest are Famicom/NES)

Man, I wish I had the money to buy that.
It looks pretty cool. But I wonder if It has speed up or slow down or even audio issues.

I think these are all emulated (AKA MP4 players) not hardware native clones.

A bit of a necrobump, I know, but did someone ever find out...

    • whether the link port works? (And consequently, whether you con get multiboot to work)
    • for sure whether it's using emulaton or if it's an actual clone? (Clock speed? Hardware behavior?)
    • whether you can enter GB mode with bit 3 of 4000000h like you can with all the real GBA models except GBA mode DS. (Yes, you can actually enter GB mode on a GB micro, even if it's pretty pointless.)

Bumping as it's down to $40 now.

Someone on the dx forums is saying that you can boot it into a linkup mode by holding down R when it's switched on, and can change the ROMs using a USB cable. Anyone confirm?

If anyone is still interested in the GB Boy colour, I have a contact in China who can send you one. I can give you his e-mail address if you like. I probably won't check this that much, but you can find me on the usual bland, blue and white social networking rubbish if you want, or through that thing where people talk at cameras.
