No Mercy for N64 had an odd glitch in certain carts where all your data would be wiped and you would be left with an odd character, the name was a mish-mash of characters and atleast to me the character itsself was a fat guy in a sweater.

I was playing Touhou 6 and was doing really well, then it crashed my computer for no reason >.<

I was playing Castlevania yesterday, and out of nowhere, graphical glitches and flickering spread like a virus over the entire screen, and sound was unaffected. I was pissed since I had gotten pretty far in the game, but it looked cool I must admit. Every foreground object turned into a bunch of white sticks.

Playing all the way through Dead Island getting ready to do NG+ and then finding out my hard earned save file was corrupt beyond repair. Why companies insist on using auto save features with only one save slot still baffles me.

Playing blur online the other day, and I got bolted which caused my car to lose control. So I hit a wall shortly afterwards ( I was mid air ) and my car got stuck in the wall and then popped out causing me to flip in the air... very odd and it did cause me to loose the race. Goodbye win streak :(

PSO version 1, a mixture between a bug and the after effects of someone using disruptive codes online.
My character survived an attempted NOL (when your character was overwritten with an NPC making you lose everything unless you pulled your VMU) but upon return my lv100 stats were that of someone many levels lower who could not survive even some of the lower difficulties.

Similar experience to HeXiGON. Playin blur, hit by a shunt, pop up in the air, only to run smack into the side of a bridge while mid-air, then the game takes its sweet time to respawn me, as if it couldn't quite figure out that I had stopped completely! :P That happens a lot in blur actually, lol. Too often... grrrrr.

Playing through Final Fantasy VIII with scratched discs and not being able to skip certain cutscenes was pretty rough. Sometimes, it would take 10 or more tries reloading from one spot to get past one small 10 second cutscene. You can occasionally run into an interesting text-corrupting glitch when you fight the giant cactuar, too.

I also ran into a pretty strange glitch with Ape Escape after using a Gameshark many years ago. I used it to unlock all the gadgets in the game from the start, and after catching all the monkeys and completing every level 100%, it claimed that I still had 1 monkey left to catch. It was nowhere to be found, though, so I couldn't unlock the final level and completely beat the game. Thanks to that, I had to start over completely. -_-

Playing Resident evil 2 via Epsxe. I was in the basement and as soon as I shot one of the Cerberus' the recoil(how it knocks you back a screen sometimes) occured, and when I was switching scenes, the dog died at the same time as that happened, and my entire PC froze. It somehow got BSOD'd, while I was playing, some sort of assertion error. Turns out there was a disk error, I hadn't run chkdsk in a while, so I had to do then defrag, taking me like 3 hours to play again, then I had to leave for school rofl. guess it wasn't really my worst time, just the most annoying.

Yeah about FF8, that happened with me a few times. I was borrowing my friends discs, and some areas wouldn't load, due to scratches. I would use the debug rooms though to travel to parts where I could continue playing, rofl.

Ha, I had completely forgotten about the debug rooms. I still have a Game Informer around here somewhere that shows you how to access them and everything.

I've found more entertainment in seeing the strange glitches in the Sonic Adventure DX port for Xbox 360 than I have for the game itself. The day that Sega controls the laws of physics as we know them will be scary and chaotic. Let's all hope it never happens.

FOr me it was a few moments ago playing Sonic Classic Heroes 0.7 beta. Got half way through a game in save slot 2 when an address error popped up during the transition from Sonic 1 to Sonic 2. Happened 3 times straight before I finally figured it was a glitch with the super dash cheat. Cheat was permanantly enabled in the save so I just couldn't turn it off. Save had to go bye bye... DAMNIT TO HELL!!!

Playing Sonic Heroes was a pain in the bum, the game was fun but buggy as hell, it got to the point where I fell through the bloody floor. Worst one though is when your old pokemon games delete themselves. I know how to fix that now but it wont recover the hours of my childhood I spent on those games only for them to be deleted.

Just played Red Dead Redemption, the mission where you save shakey and get the ammo for the machine gun..well I got to the point where the ammo is loaded onto the cart and then the whole thing horses and all rocketed straight up into the air killing Irish and wreaking the cart, so back to the checkpoint I go :(
