Picked up a new pirate console 76,000 games !, lots of pics

We'll decided to head down to the local flea market today and ended up getting a pirate console that I found rather cool. Dont get this sorta thing around here often so I just had to pic it up :smt045
Pics of it are bellow..sorry about the quality, had to use the Digital Camcorder.

Just a rather boring box, nothing to interesting here.

    The back

Got to love the action pics ! In game I bet...ya right hehe

Yep thats right 76000 bad ass games..more like 200 unique NES games and a many thousand variations.

    Box open

    Out of box

Main controller, N64 style...the yellow stick does nothing.

As if 76k games isnt enough, this one has a cartridge slot :smt023 thought that was rather cool...couldnt they have saved money not adding that ?

The ripped off MD style second controller that plugs into the top of the main one.

Gun..in case you couldnt tell. Not bad, a little small but works ok

    Front screen with game list.

Yep belive it folks, 76,000 there is !
I tried to scroll through them thinking, ya right theres now way. I got to 12000 and got tired and board so I gave up. I found you can scroll backwards from 1 so thats how I got to see the last page..fewww

Seems like the actual Nintendo games they included they took they removed the titles from within the game. Others like contra a non N games they left alone...wierd but OK

Here I thought when I got it I could put in a real NES game, nope as you can see it dont fit north american cartriges..this must be a JPN socket ? If so does that mean I have a region free way to play JPN games ? Would be cool as I dont have a JPN nes yet !

This made me laugh..its quality control passed, hehe such good pirates that take pride in there work and demand quality :smt042

Yep had to take it apart.

The cartridge port that fits what ? ...anyone ?

The one and only chip. I assume this as all the software and 76k of games.

Found this hidden little swith on the board that I have no idea what it does...maby a region swith ?..havent been brave enough yet to swithch it and turn the thing on :smt009

Thats it, hope you liked my litttle find.

Yes that is a Famicom cartridge slot. That chip looks like RAM. The actual FC chip will be under a big black glob of epoxy. There are no regional properties on a NES so perhaps that switch turns on/off the built in games.

    Pirate crap disgusts me :P

Are you sure? Because I'm pretty certain that a European (UK one, anyway) NES has region lockout.

I couldn't play US NES games until I opened up my NES and cut some pins off of one of the chips. Then suddenly the US games would boot fine.
I agree to all auction Guidlines. Still.

ey! that ''QC passed'' mean : Quebec passed! that's where i live! i don't know why we let pass these things though.
"(...)A One World Government and one-unit monetary system, under permanent non-elected hereditary oligarchists who self-select from among their numbers in the form of a feudal system as it was in the Middle Ages. In this One World entity, population will be limited by restrictions on the number of children per family, diseases, wars, famines, until 1 billion people who are useful to the ruling class, in areas which will be strictly and clearly defined, remain as the total world population." Dont let media feed you with lies. open your eyes and search information yourself.

Those are plastered all over eBay. It's basically tons of bootlegged NES games all put into a generic controller. Still, if that sucker can play JPN NES (Famicom...not to used to the word :smt043), then that's a great deal you got there!

These are also the type of "consoles" plugged on late night infomercials. :smt042

I think these things are hilarious. My friend has one that has like 72 games or something on it. It came with a yellow cartridge, it looked just like a Famicom cart :-D, that plugged into the back of the controller. Basically, all of the games were hacks.

    Oh, btw great pics :smt023

I picked up 3 different actual famicom looking clones and an original FC all broken for $15 from a old chinese man at my flea market two years ago :)

We've always had Polystations and other similar crap, boy do I hate it. Most of the sellers of the shitty clones are shady middle-eastern familys who will try to swindle you over a freaking NES clone :\

Are you sure? Because I'm pretty certain that a European (UK one, anyway) NES has region lockout.
Sure NESes have CIC lockout chips but those aren't built into the game. They're external chips that simply allow the NES system to come out of a reset state. Famicom do not have lockout chips.

I don't understand why anyone thinks those clones are even cool. Its just history repeating. Before it was multicarts, now its crappy cheapo POS consoles with a few built in games. It's not like they have good games, you know, like SMB3. It's always the 50-100 launch games.

We had a kiosk selling those very things in my local mall - as pirate systems aren't too common here, I went and had a look. As I suspected, the 76,000 and 50,000 (they had two varieties) games in one were just about 50 or so games repeated. I was slightly hopeful upon seeing names in the menu like Aladdin or King Of Fighters and was thinking there might be some Hong Kong originals included, but alas, King Of Fighters was Yie Ar Kung Fu and Aladdin was something far less interesting. The presence of the 60-pin Famicom slot was a plus, as I've got a few random Famicom games (Final Fantasy 1+2 :smt023 ) but my Famiclone doesn't seem to work. I was thinking if these things were around the $20-$25 range, it might be a nifty little gadget to have, and I asked the salesman how much they were. The guy said $45 for the 50,000 and $50 for the 76,000 model!! :angry Seeing the disappointed look on my face, the guy proceeded to launch into his sales pitch: "Do you remember when the Nintendo first came out?? It was like $50, $60 and games were all around $20 at the time! So with this, I'm giving you the system for $50, and I'm throwing in these thousands of games for FREE!!" I suppose he said more, but at that point my eyes had glazed over and I had stopped responding to nearby sounds. My girlfriend was apparently having to bite her tongue at the combination of the salesman's bullshit and my reaction.
I had considered registering a complaint with the mall offices on how countrerfeit goods were being sold by vendors, but with as ignorant as the salespeople seemed, I figured I'd probably have to present a lot of supporting evidence to come off as anything other than some disgruntled would-be customer. A week later, the stand was gone, and I saw a news report somewhere on the internet on how Nintendo's litigous dogs were at it again, slinging lawsuits left and right that were, for possibly the first time in the company's history, deserved, and I felt vindicated at last, as though I had something to do with the downfall of those overpriced merchants.

$45 isn't worth it for something that costs $2 to make. BTW, that lil white powder you see in there, its crack.

A shop not far from my place has a clone that says 16 Bit on it. It's only 4000 yen but still, I don't want to take the risk of buying a Famiclone that looks like shit when I can buy the one that looks like a Neo Geo for less. The sad thing is that this clone gives no hints to whether it's a Mega Drive, SFC or what. Anyone what to give me 4000 yen in the name of reserch?

No, it doesn't look much like any "real" console at all. More of a new design. I won't have time to visit that shop tomorrow but maybe through the week I will. I'll take my Digital camera for some undercover shooting :P

Nintendo just put the smack down on these units, and their sellers, according to Slashdot. Apparently they're being sued out their asses because of piracy issues.

So don't expect to see these at your local mall for much longer, if they're even around today.

No chance - there's way too many, it seems. I don't think they will ever be exterminated unless Nintendo hires an enormous private army to invade China :smt043
