So at work me and the owner have been having a little competition with Vs. Super Mario Bros. to see who can get the highest score. I think currently I am in the lead. =P

For anybody who has gotten bored of the regular SMB I suggest giving this a try. If you're actually trying for a good score it can be quite difficult.

I actually thought the ending was pretty good for the plotline that was presented. Didn't care for the howler/cemetery level though...

    Kirby GB. YAY!!

I got to the boss but kind of stopped a bit but after putting up with the punishing Double Dragon GB I went back tonight and found the final boss a breeze. =P

I finished Mario Land 1 and 2 while waiting in airports last week. I LOVE the music! I probably burned about 20 lives getting through Wario's stage in number 2.

Playing through Duke Nukem Forever now and it's super fun.

Dead Nation in co-op, awesome game, good fun! I wish there was a new game plus feature though, I hate having to buy all my weapons from scratch..

Duke Nukem Forever, finished it, loved it, started it again at a slower pace.

Streets of Rage 2 co-op, better late than later I guess.

Eve Online... oh wait... it never ends :o

I recently returned after a two year absence, sold my main character for 9 billion (as I had no ISK to buy a Golem to make more ISK) and I'm starting it again from scratch as a dedicated Tengu pilot.

Hm, Halo Reach on Legendary, Solo.. Even though it wasn't that hard, haha, the only thing kind of annoying in it is Hunters, and that's because it takes so long to actually kill them on legendary if you don't have any good weapons.

I'm currently replaying through Fallout 3 via PC using a lot of mods to just make the game feel fresh and more difficult.

    Martin's Mutant Mod.
    Energy Visuals Enhanced.
    Project Beauty HD.
    FO3 Wanderer's Edition.
    Weapon Mod Kits.
Fallout Stutter Remover (This mod is amazing because for me and many others, it's completely gotten rid of the microstutter bug. I mean, I can max the game just fine at a 1080p resolution, but microstutter has made VATS insanely slow, causes your character to go slowmo when running in the waste, and skips in FPS that are just plain annoying. It really has nothing to do with how beefy your rig is.)

Those are six of the most popular mods for the game, and they aren't cheat mods, with all these mods at once, it almost completely changes the way you'll play the game, I love it!

I had to use some of the FOIP patches and FO3edit to create a merged patch file to get them all working properly, but hey, it's amazing.

I'm also using the Marijuana mod for Fallout New Vegas, so I can grow, smoke, and sell pot.. It's a nice way to get caps :D
I come off as an arrogant jerk sometimes, feel free to bring me back down to level when that happens; however, it's not intentional most of the time.

Just wrapped up Duke Nukem Forever.

Had fun, except the load times between deaths.

    Fuck the reviewers.

Just finished Infamous, I enjoyed it a lot. But that final reveal...man, was it ridiculous. Almost in MGS territory.

yeah the load times are definitely the biggest detractor for me, especially when just dying results in a long wait

Half-Life: Source. Now whether to bother installing the GoldSrc version for Blue Shift and Opposing Force (as no Source port) hmm

EDIT: I bothered... now to get through these too :P

    .hack/INFECTION and .hack/MUTATION
Shadow Hearts 1+2 (all via Kermit/ODEM)

I have owned these for years, but somehow they were just sitting in the disc cabinet collecting dust. I found .hack quite repetetive over time, but it was ideal if I just wanted to kill some time without having to think too much .
On the other hand, I really like SH and (to a lesser degree) SH2. SH is just awesome, and SH2 follows quite closely; although I found the plot twist of how the main antagonist of SH is encountered in SH2 to be unlogical, even in the bent logic of the SH universe.
Aside from playing these games, they also served as great tests for Kermit/ODEM. The last public version of my program cannot run them (.hack fails after the language select, SH2 hangs randomly, just like on HDL and unpatched versions of OPL), but I got the patches in place in will release a new version if there is sufficient interest .

    Fallout 3 GOTY on PS3

I usually don't play shooters or anything that feels like one, mainly because my aiming is too slow; and I get nausea fairly easily. For some reason, FO3 is different, I can play it for hours without problems, and VATS helps a lot with aiming.
However, what makes me cringe is the amount of bugs, especially in what should have been the most complete version of this game. Random crashes all the time, when entering new areas as well as while just wandering the wastes.
At some time, I managed to get a really messed up save. It was during The Pitt, in the supply plant that connects to the steelyard. I couldn't exit the plant because the loading screen would show up indefinitely. Deleting the game data did not help, I had to load my last save from before entering The Pitt to get rid of this.
Apart from that, there were no other game-breaking bugs, just a huge number of annoyances. My favorite one is when failing to kill an enemy in VATS, VATS won't end; leaving you with all buttons on the controller unresponsive, and the enemy happily turning you into swiss cheese in slow motion :gravedigging:.

Seriously, does anybody have an idea why this game is such a QA fail? Of all the games I have played in my life, this is by far the worst I have encountered. And I'm not only talking about the engine bugs (hangs, slowdowns, enemies becomming invisible and so on), but also the script (NPCs not being there or acting wrong) and level design ones (jumping down a mountain into a crevice, with no means of walking or jumping out or even fast-travelling because of some invisible enemy).

That's weird. I didn't have any of those issues in the 360 version. Most glitches I found were just little graphical things. All of those sound incredibly frustrating.

I envy you, wish I could say the same. Indeed, it was frustrating, but still too much fun to quit. After my problem in The Pitt, I basically ended up saving in a new slot after each enemy or collecting an important item :banghead:.

To be fair, I think especially the engine bugs appear more frequently the longer you play the game. At the end, my saves would take up around 13MB, and when playing in e.g. Point Lookout, I would have a freeze approximately every 30 minutes. That's depending on the amount of battles, though; just wandering around doesn't trigger it that often, but it still happens.

Another impression I got was that the DLCs are far more prone to bugs than the base game. Almost any NPC or area has its bugs, sometimes depending on the console, sometimes even cross-platform, but it seems the DLCs are far worse. As an example, just look at this list: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Mothership_Zeta_bugs
A bunch of those things are minor, but there are a lot of game-breaking ones as well. Luckily, I didn't get any of them (just a freeze every 30-60min and occasional VATS lockup).

What I found disgusting was reading about an alleged cross-DLC incompatibility between The Pitt and Point Lookout. The steelyard from The Pitt seems to have nasty terrain glitches: certain platforms and high structures (like the blast furnace) may not be solid, thus making certain places inaccessible, or make the player character fall through the roofs and die. In certain instances, it seems to help to remove Point Lookout while playing in The Pitt (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Steel_Ingots).

Sadly, the first thing I do nowadays with a new game is to go to GameFAQs and look in the forums for known glitches. The advent of the internet basically killed off QA, as game companies will just "patch it later".

Just finished up Shadows of the Damned a few days ago. A bit style over substance in spots, but I liked it quite a bit. Nice atmosphere, great music, and a few pretty well-done boss battles, but there are a couple of 2D side-scrolling sections that are outright terrible and almost ruin the whole thing.

Kinda tempted to do another run at a higher difficulty, but my backlog keeps taunting me.
