Nintendo's X and Y actually make sense on the GameCube. X axis for the horizontal, Y for the vertical.. mucho sense there. The DS follows the SNES convention, just like the Classic controller on the Wii.
You can ask for any old woman
You can ask for an army of ants
You can ask for a pillar of poison
You can ask for sheep and shavers

    And you can die for

I know, I know. Too much Dreamcast for Alec, aparently.

Although your logic could also work there other way, marking the axis itself instead of what is working on such axis. Eh? EH?
    No? Anyways.

CoD 4 Modern Warfare 2, finished in a couple of sessions, kinda short, but I liked it overall... What I found a bit overrated was the fact of almost every single character you played with died at some point of the story. It was a novelty for Modern Warfare 1 but I think they abused that concept a bit in this one.

No-missed it up to Stage 2-4 (Stage 9) w/347,900 points. Graphically and sound-wise absolutely stunning piece of game for 1990. The bosses are beautifully designed with loads of details and the game has no slowdowns at all.

Um Jammer Lammy / PS / JP
Completed the story mode w/Lammy and Parappa, still missing half of the Lammy vs. Evil Lammy as well as all the Parappa vs. Lammy duels though. They are pretty damn hard and the button registration seems a bit sloppy to me, so I won't go on playing. Other pearls are already waiting, gotta dump that bitch called Lammy!^^
The package is quite unusual as was the Japanese version of Vib Ribbon. The back of the CD case is actually the front and the CD ought to be inserted upside down in order to see the beautiful colored upside through the window in the backcover of the CD case. Sounds confusing? It is, but I wasn't quite sure about my grammar either while I wrote this description :P

    @alecjahn
Quite short, I completed the game on the very same evening that I started it. 5-7 hours, no longer. I would say that 30€ is too much for the game, but for 15 bucks (download ver.) it can't be that much of a mistake. The overall style is breathtaking. The Limited Edition contains a soundtrack CD and the OST is really really nice ambient music.

    Kirby 64: The crystal shards

..and they say Yoshi's Story was easy. Fun game though, as usual with Kirby titles

Also finished MW2 on Veteran. Super annoying at a couple parts. The last couple levels of the game were pretty cool. But like others have said, it really stupid getting shot by another character during a cut scene or SLIDING in EVERY single level...

The multiplayer is not my cup of tea. I like more pure shooters. I don't need helicopters, harriers, and missile strikes killing me all the time because someone knows a good camping spot. Too much camping and zero teamwork. You just spawn, get a kill or 2, get shot in the back (there's no way to have map control, spawns are broken), repeat.

    Just finished Machinarium.

Beautiful game, incredible artwork and music, and very clever puzzles!

Finished Bayonetta last night on the 360. Man, the ending on that game just keeps giving and giving! We're talking at least 20 minutes worth!!! In a time when most companies don't give a rat's Arse about endingd it's nice to see a company that does. Quality game from start to finish.

Bayonetta's gameplay has really got my attention thanks to the PSN demo. I never thought I'd like this game but it's really good!

Bayonetta got a 40 from Famitsu and FFXIII got a 39...

    Is that saying anything?

Yeah, Square paid them a lot of money to get that score :) Honestly though, Bayonetta reallly is a breath of fresh air in todays gaming world. gameplay is rock solid and it has one of those stories that even though you have no idea WTF is going on you still want to play on to see what comes next. And the fact that it's filled with loads of classic Sega tributes will even give the most stubourn of Retro gamers a smile on their face.

Had a week off last week for a religious holiday in Dubai :) Savign up for xmas so decided to stay in and play a few games I have been putting off...

MW2 - Completed, nowhere near as good in single player as the first but entertaining in parts.

Uncharted 2 - Jump, Jump, Shoot, Shoot - Fantastic graphics and decent story but game play was a bit boring

Fallout 3 - Great, Great game, surprised I missed out on this for so long, going to get the GOTY edition when I am home for the DLC.

Resistance 2 - Entertaining for what it was, its a long time since I played the first but sure I enjoyed that more!!

FIFA 10 - Well obviously did not complete everything but done enough! - Good game, my first FIFA in a while much better than the new Pro EVO!

MW2 (campaign on Veteran) - frustrating in parts, weak story (as in poorly tied in to the first one), getting checkpoint spawn fucked isn't fun, and seriously lacked the polish of the first one. Just glad to get the campaign over with and got all the intel. Not sure I care to wrap up Spec Op mode and I'm skipping multiplayer (too many bad reports about lag, lobby merging, host issues, etc. besides the usual prepubescence that goes on).

I'm almost done with Assassin's Creed II. I'm trying to 100% before I leave town. Not an overly amazing game, it's just WAY better than the first. It is pretty fun though.

Just beat Valkyria Chronicles. One of the top games of all time for me, especially in the genre, though its unique really so maybe thats not the most telling.
