    CodeWarrior for Playstation... on Mac

I'm curious if anyone has experience here...
Back in 1999, got my first PSX, was a diehard Sarturn fan up to that point...
    anyway...
Modchipping, etc was all the standard, but the net yaroze had been around for a while.. the hacks existed to mod the boot disc to not need the access key, hitmen made their clone serial cable, etc...

At one point I had run across a just-released copy of CodeWarrior for Playstation for Mac, loaded it up, and within a few weeks, got it running.. never stuck with it, as my previous programming experience was limited to limited mac application development, and as I was a freshman graphic design student, my head was elsewhere..

If my memory serves me correctly, there was no mac version of the Net Yaroze builds of CW, but I could be mistaken.

Now, 10 years later, I've landed myself a full NTSC-UC yaroze set (non-CW version), and a green NTSC-UC debug... and am frustrated beyond belief with the tools that came with this.

I still prefer the mac for all my programming, and running CW in a emulator would be trivial....
that is, if the cd-r i burnt then would read on anything! it seems it's faded over the years to an unreadable state.

Another thing I remember reading in the docs at the time is that the R4 or R5 build added support for networked building to PC's running the official cards...
Now while I'd commit murder for a full DTL-H2700 and PSY-Q card getup (but not buy one from some guy in HK (who only uses them to play games?!) at outrageous costs), the monetary investment seems a bit limiting, so I've got a yaroze to at least play around with, learn what I need to get started.

Anyone out there familiar with this product?

it's a CW R2 for PSX or just the normal standalone C/C+ IDE?

Ah interesting.. I never had the Net Yaroze version, but the "for PlayStation" version I had found seemed to be mac only.. not sure if it was also hybrid... good to know!

Both Yaroze versions (DR2 and R2) are hybrid, you can found an update for the Mac & PC R2 on the yaroze official website.
I found the following prices on the Yaroze R2 disc:
The complete version is not hybrid, there are two separate product info pages on the DR2 disc.
Authorized by Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc., CodeWarrior for PlayStation is hosted on Mac OS.[...]
CodeWarrior connects to a PlayStation Development System via PCI bus or serial connection. Using the Apple® Video Player you can display your PlayStation games right on your Macintosh®.

The updates from the R5 press release found here
New features of "CodeWarrior for PlayStation Release 5" include the following:

I am noting that this site is down (unless i'm mistaken)...

any idea if these updates, and/or a copy of the mac side of this hybrid disc might be floating around out there?

I suppose I'm waiting for a miracle that probably won't come unless I can find an actual original disc for CW for PSX or NY...

I appreciate all the help though!
