    New Xbox system "Dragontooth"

Alpha kits have hit select developers for the new Xbox.
Code name is "Dragontooth". The system is like the early xbox and
360 dev kits, shipping in what is basically a PC case.

    Rough specs:

Dual quad core CPU units @ 4Ghz
32GB of high speed ram (double the retail spec, like in all xbox dev units)

Currently the systems are running at 38% of final
using three amd quad core cpus. Unlike xbox 360,
the new spec is a lower thermal profile needing
    minimal cooling.

It uses Xbox 360 controllers (wired) but that is expected to change.

    Current studios with kits:
    Electronic Arts
    Bungie
    Epic Games

Not true: Konami have gotten a system too, in order to create the new Xbox-only Metal Gear Solid 5: Sons of Snake.

Heat pipes are hollow, Sabre ;). They contain a liquid that extracts heat through a capillary action.

It's not a big truck. It's a series of tubes that transport the heat

I thought the codename was "Suckers Bet".
Well, it's rather brutal here. Right now we are advising all our clients to put everything they've got into canned food and shotguns.

Ha, I think "Dragontooth" is a pretty cool name for a prototype. I actually fell for this for about 5 seconds, until I recounted. I determined that 2 quad core CPUs don't divide in 3 equally :icon_bigg

Meh, April Fools' day. I'm not believing anything today no matter how obvioully true can it be, I'll just look away and deny everything like a 5 year old kid until the day is over :110:
