PICTURES of my 32x dev kit!!! NO 56K!!!!

It's been over a month and a few days and I finally recieved my package. I don't have digital camera, so I will have to borrow my friends a few days from now before I can post pictures.

Its basically like a big cartridge. with another cartridge slot. It has a 25-Pin connector on the top, possibly a parallel port. Next to that is a switch and two red LEDs. I will soon open it up and describe what it's inside.

Inside it are lots of ROM chips. Small chip made by Altera, big chip made by GLogic, and a rectangular chip with a sticker covering a window.

There are also some dip switches near the cartridge connector.

In the back of the casing, it says PSY Q Megadrive 32X.
    HERE ARE PICTURES:

So it would look a bit like this? Kaneda used to have pics of a 32x system that closer fit your description, but he's redone his site and removed his "special hardware" pages.

It looks like that thing actually. I underneath Megadrive it says 32x and the parallel port is at the top, instead of the side. It would be great if you have info on my specific device like manual and system disk.

All I have is an archive I found either through Eidolon's site or the Sega Programming Network. It has some transfer tool and debuggers but is a little sparse in documentation. If you can't find the download link I'll see if I can find space for it somewhere.

By the way, the port is SCSI, not parallel.

Hmm. I thought it was SCSI but it has 25pins rather than the 50pins I know of. I do have a SCSI card thats 50pin. From what I read on some site that talked about the saturn version which was apparently made the same time this thing was. It used the same 25pin SCSI controller card. I do have a DB25pin cable and was wondering if it will work with a 25pin SCSI cable. On top of that, I'll have to find a 25pin SCSI controller card that ISA. Thank god I have a spare PC with ISA slots.

Also, send me all the stuff you have on it, i don't care if it is sparse on documentation, so as long as i have something to make it work.

Yeah, I was gonna say, I thought there were a few different types of SCSI cables/plugs.

It'd be great if you were able to get a pic of that logo you were trying to tell me about. :smt023

Also, didn't you have a copy of the 32x dev software that you found somewhere? Maybe it has instructions in it on setting things up? (I'm sure you've already tried this, but...)

I'm gonna have to dig that software up. I remembered that it was nothing but .dll files, so I'll need a program that uses those.

I have a RAR from a board member with some sample code & tools... but the docs talk about a "target board" or something...

Kwerl, you got a psyq, nice piece of hardware :prayer: .

However, as i said, you don't need this to make a 32x game.
Just the ASM 32x pack "walmarsx" (see devster page) and gens (and eventualy some tototek flash cart to test on real hardware).

I'll contact kaneda to know if he still have his doc/software about psyq (in fact, i don't know if he ever owned a psyq).

Good luck, i'll make a 32x demo for Xmas, and i don't want to be alone :smt023 .

I uploaded the package here, hope it's of some use. (I think I got it from Fonzie.)
:-D , ummm, i own some docs its not me who send this one, VERY interesting.
