    Buffalo USB Famicom Pads

    Hey Everyone,

I'm intrested in obtaining some Buffalo USB Famicom Pads. Are these common to find or not? In addition, how much do these run for? Sometimes I see them on Ebay, but they always sell for around $44 + USD per pad. Is this normal, or do they sell much cheaper in local japan?

They're quite common, sold in most large electronics stores. They sell for about 2000 yen. Elecom knock-offs can be found for 1200 yen or so.

Darn! Looks like these sellers on ebay are really ripping people. Perhaps this is not possible, but would any Japan bound Assember members be able to get some pads on my behalf? Even with some markup for the trouble, I'm betting it would still be cheaper and I'd rather see the money go to an Assembler user than some crummy Ebay seller.

EDIT: Those Elecom knockoffs look cheap. The D-Pad looks terrible. The Buffalo pads look much more standard.

Yep, you would have to be a blind lost in a dark forrest in the dark surrounded with deep shark infested seas with cerberus leading you not to find the Buffalo joypads.

Normal FC alike pad and with a microphone...

However I prefer the Elecom Super Famicom style pads myself.

Hrm... Does anyone have a tip on an online store that sells these pads at a reasonable price, or someone who would be willing to pick some up?

Sure, I can pick one up for you, if you use PayPal. Do you want the one with/without mic? Any colour/shape choices, if there are any? (SFC/FC style, red/black?)

    Awsome! PM Sent! Thanks!

Hrm... Intresting. I didn't know Buffalo had USB Famicom pads with a mic built in. I've seen Banpresto UFO catcher replica controlers that have a mic built in, but that's not even a real controller.

About the Super Famicom USB pads, are these high quality products like the Buffalo pads, or are these those cheap Chinese knock-offs I see on ebay?

I wonder if these manufactures have images of these pads. I know Buffalo does but I never heard of these other brands before unfortunatly.

Well if said cat has a Playstation 3 then it might want to play Mainichi Issho. :P

I like the Elecom Super Famicom pads, they are cheap and do feel and work like the SFC pads.

I checked some japanese forum and apparently I need to use USB overdrive, but i cannot get it to work.

Thats strange. I would think it's just a standard USB gamepad to most operating systems.
