I got one of my ex's started with gaming begining with a PS2 slim but sadly a couple of months later we split so i never got the chance to turn her into a hardcore and retro gamer.
I don't think my last girlfriend likes gaming that much as i seem to remember her getting on at me on MSN when i started to talk about me playing on my gamecube after she had asked what i was currently upto. I still have time to get her into gamming if i can as we are still friends but it won't be easy and i can imagin everything i try being "shot down in flames".

My girlfriend plays as much as me if not more these days. Doesnt really bother me better then when she used to play the sims. Shes clocked like 80 hours on fall out 3 and like 20 or something on Fable 2 plus a few others in the last few months.

I'm a girl and I play a looot of games. I've been working more so I don't have as much time but I love them. I have a Sega CD+32X, Saturn with import games, a teal translucent N64, etc. And the new gen of consoles. I think I love collecting them more than playing them :)
Of course, once I met my new room mate, I felt like I rarely ever play games, lol. He eats, sleeps, and plays 360. And occasionally goes to school.
My girlfriend played my save on Fable 2, and saved it. She did the Crucible (albeit slowly!) and then skipped everything to go to the Spire, including paying the guy to clean up the town. So I didn't have the nice town when I got back! Had to start a new character for that! Ho Hum.

A friend of mine here in town plays a few video games, but never has been to serious about it. I introduced him to Warcraft 3 and now he plays it nonstop almost daily it seems. I have created a monster. =P

Besides singingstar and solitaire I can't get my gf to play anything else.. once she was playing this simple online game that looked like street fighter puzzle and I saw her having fun with it, so I bought and downloaded sfp on my ps3 for her then to say.. hmm it doesn't look the same and never played it while she sometimes still goes online to play the crappy version..
sometimes I think it's just a thing against the console or pads and not the games itself.. don't know. the only thing I do know is that I have given up on it :)

My girlfriend was a gamer since she was little (huge Master System -> Genesis -> Final Fantasy VI -> Sega Saturn (well, NiGHTS and Astal) -> PS1/PS2 fan). These days I'm too busy with high level mathematics in school to mess with gaming much, so she games circles around me.
Right now she's obsessed with beating my high scores in NiGHTS. :nod:
And I recently introduced her to Dragon Force (since she's been a die hard Shining Force nut as long as she's been gaming), so she's trying to get the hang of that. Knowing Dragon Force her life will be consumed soon though...
Of course, she also loves to watch games. And no lie, her absolute favorite game to watch me play is Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru of all things (she calls it the "zappy zap game"). So occassionally I have to break it out of its plastic baggy and do a quick run for her amusement. ^_^

My heart bleeds for you. My missus thinks I'm a borderline groomer for playing Gears with "14-year-old spotty Californian boys". My basic diet - as I live with my sister, who co-owns my flat, and my bird - is America's Next Top Model, 10 Years Younger and the like.
I literally have to snatch time when they're not here/have gone to bed to play my games.
Think long and hard before having a serious relationship, kids...
(Unless you can land a bird like the OP. Stop your griping, and start kicking her ass, that's what I say.)
