    Sega Mark III on a german PAL TV.. how do this work?

    Hi there,

    i bought a Sega Mak III JAP System.
    But now i found out that i cannot connect the mark III with the RF Unit to a German TV PAL.

    Now i dont know.. how can i connect the Sega Mark III System to a German TV?

    Can somebody help here?

    You could try getting a Mega Drive AV cable, since those apparently work with the Mk III too.

    You can't with the RF because the Mark III outputs a J-NTSC TV frequency signal and Europe is PAL and uses a different frequency signal. Even Japanese radio uses a different FM range than Europe. If you use the Mega Drive AV cable (it will work) you will get an image on your TV as long as it can display a 60htz NTSC image. Most modern if not all modern TVs can.

    Is it possible to display the Mk3 games in RGB if I use an MD RGB cable?
    <- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

    The Mk3 will indeed output RGB through a Megadrive scart cable

    RGB is the only safe way to go if you want colors in all cases. My TV at least understands all signal types there are, including Japanese NTSC over RF and other things.... Philips kicks @$$

    You also can use s-video connection without internal mod with that expensive adaptor that I forgot the name, it's for mega drive but works fine on mark III
