I'm not really familiar with the subject matter, so sorry if it's a bit off.
That's just what I needed! Thank you!
1 question though: in the box where you put in target turn radius, shouldn't it be 1/target turn radius?
    Once again, thanks!

    Hi xmog123x,

Yes, you're right, sorry about that!

    >Maxou

I think the Japanese text is partly corrupt as the kanji 東 ("east") is popping up way more than it should in that message...

I think it's stuttering. 東上 means to head east (and it's the 3rd kanji in my IME when I hit space) but I don't know what 東まっている means in the least. Neither does my dictionary. The last part eludes that "outside is lost". I assume to zombies or something.

    Hi GaijinPunch, xmog123x, Maxou,

Nah, I've run this by a Japanese friend and we're almost certain it's some sort of font/display-related problem.

    Here's how it currently looks:

    -------------------------------
    東東東上の東が東まってきてるぜ!
    こんな東外まで…地上はもう ダメだな…
    -------------------------------

And here's what we think it might actually be (myself, a translator, and my friend, a native Japanese speaker):

    -------------------------------
    [PLACE]上の[THING]が集まってきてるぜ!
    こんな郊外まで…地上はもう ダメだな…
    -------------------------------

[PLACE] -> Could be something like 屋根の (on the rooftop), 部屋の (above this room). Both combine nicely with 上 (above), but の seems to appear properly elsewhere meaning the three-kanji word is probably an in-game location name
[THING] -> Could be something like 獣 (creature/beast)
集まってきてる -> (gathering) We're pretty confident that this fits the bill
郊外 -> (suburb) Again, this seems to fit quite nicely, but Bio 2 (and I guess 1.5 as well) we're set in a city. Could be 屋外 (outdoors)

Anyway, at a (wild?) guess, it could mean something like:

    -------------------------------
    "Those creatures are gathering overhead!
Here, of all places... Guess we can forget the surface...
    "
    -------------------------------

Maybe if someone could apply some more in-depth Biohazard knowledge, we might be able to decipher the text properly.

    Cheers!

I know this is quite a chunk of text and a long shot but i figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if anyone could take a look at these? Even if it was just the gist of things that would be awesome! Thanks

    Hi rewak,

Here's a quick overview of what those pages are talking about:

    1. (First jpg, left side) Talks about a plane crash in the Canadian mountains, and finding out the truth behind what caused it. It mentions using memo left by the passengers as a means of revealing this "truth".

    2. (First jpg, right side) A letter by "Laura Parton" talking about her upbringing, the death of her mother and her sudden return to Canada, her place of birth, after being granted a a travel permit.

    3. (Second jpg, left side) A letter from "David" to "Dylan", citing the real reasons for his sudden return home. Apparently, he received an urgent and erratic message from his father saying that the world would end three days from now. Despite other members of his family being nearby, he's thinks something's up, and as the popular hallucinogenic drug, "Linda", is being manufactured near his hometown, he's concerned his father might be mixed up in something.

    4. (Second jpg, right side) An extract from "Kimberly's" diary talking about the return of her nightmares after stopping her use of the drug, "Linda". She talks about some sort of side-effects which occurred during the flight and lead to immigration problems afterwards. She's heading to the place where they manufacture "Linda" in Canada after being sent a newspaper clipping containing a photograph.

    5. (Third jpg, left side) An e-mail from "Parker Jackson" confirming that the "members" aboard the flight to Canada are in great shape and that if the results from the tests done on the 650-million-year-old meteorite are correct, then the funding will be guaranteed. He discusses the upcoming results of some sort of test and the worry if his theory is turns out to be true. He also mentions a mysterious signal being emitted from the meteorite which could be somehow drawing another one in. He signs off by saying that he'll be sure to check the plane for gremlins after take-off, which I guess is a Twilight Zone reference!

    6. (Third jpg, right side) A letter from "Jenny" to her grandfather telling him how much she loves him, and to say thanks for the teddy bear he sent her. She's looking forward to staying with him again in the winter, and tells him about her mother laughing at the comment he made when he received a single present for his birthday and Christmas. She also says she's looking forward to seeing his magic tricks, and ends the letter saying that her mother has just booked the tickets for the flight and that they'll meet soon.

    7. The lyrics of a song/poem titled "Uni-verse -Space, a poem-" by Kimberly Fox

I might have lost the gist of certain points as I'm not familiar with the game and was a bit rushed. I can do a full translation, but it'll take me some time to get all the facts straight first.

PM me and we can talk more. Cheers!

WHat's the game being run on? If it's an emulator, yeah, that's most likely the cause.

Hahah, you gotta have an almost complete collection of translated IGN Biohazard screenshots by now!

I think the last one says:

Sel (Zeru?): "I don't have that bread"

Or does 無い stand for "gone bad" in this case? "I think the bread has gone bad"?
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

    Hi Maxou, ave,

Actually, I think it's more along the lines of:

    -----------------------------------
Zell: "What d'ya mean you ain't got that bread?!"
    -----------------------------------

It's a little difficult to tell outside of the original context, but here's how I arrived at the wording above.

The "だと" exclamation at the end is normally an indication of someone having said something, kind of like "何だと?!" ("What did you say?!"). "あのパン" looks like a reference to something relatively special. Not just any old bread, but that bread. "What d'ya mean..." is just my own interpretation to make the sentence work, but again, without context, it's only a guess.

If anybody knows the Japanese for what was said before this line (or perhaps afterwards), I could probably make it clearer.

    Hi all, I'm new here.

I have a couple of pages about Densetsu no Stafy for the Game Boy Color which I would like to have translated. I scanned these pages from the 2001 edition of an encyclopedia of Game Boy games called Large Game Boy Encyclopedia (ゲームボーイ大百科).

As some here may know, Densetsu no Stafy was one of various Nintendo published games like Tomato Adventure (then Gimmick Land) which were scheduled to be released for the Game Boy Color. However, development on both games moved from Game Boy Color on to Game Boy Advance during the later period of the Game Boy Color's lifespan.

I have uploaded the pages about Densetsu no Stafy here: https://rapidshare.com/files/3530744118/IMG_0001.jpg

When you download the full image, it should be 3329x2215 pixels.

I would very much appreciate it if someone could have a go at trying to translate some of the various information from these pages. I'm a pretty big fan of the series.

I'm sorry if this is a lot of text to translate. I'd like to note that some, but not all of the information is covered Nintendo's official website, and is yet to be translated.

    http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n10/sw2000...gb/soft/stafy/

Here are various terms that should help:

スタフィー = Stafy (Starfy): The main protagonist, the prince of Tenkai who has traits of both a star and a starfish.
じいさん = Lob Jiisan (Old Man Lobber): A wise Lobster who found Stafy after he fell from the sky.
キョロロン = Kyororon: This is a prototype name of Kyorosuke (キョロスケ); who becomes Stafy's best friend (known overseas as 'Moe'). It was used in the Nintendo Space World 2000 demo.
スピン アタック = Spin Attack - Stafy's signature move, known overseas as the 'Star Spin'
テンカイ = Tenkai - A kingdom in the clouds, and the homeplace of Stafy and his family.
オーグラ = Ogura - A demon eel who is the main antagonist of the game.

    Many thanks!

Been a long while since I last played FF8, but IIRC... isn't that in the cafeteria, where Zell is told that there are no more hot dogs? (I'm talking about the US version of the game)
    I could be wrong though...

Can anyone translate this for me? Thanks!

    Hi rewak,

    Sure, here you go:

    ----------------------------
    5 x D2 Item Packs
    (Laura Figure, Money Clip,
    Video, Deluxe Pamphlet)
    ----------------------------

The "5 x" part is referencing the maximum number of people who can win these goods.

    Cheers!
