Well someone mentioned TC3 requires a Guncon 2 only button (I think to change weapon or something) so the game may not want to play without the GC2. It's possible that adapter would let you play it but you'd be lacking an important button.
There is an official Namco adapter (aswell as the official SCEI AV adapter). Any of these two items will allow you to use any cable that does not have a yellow AV out port built in.
I can point you in the direction of the Namco adapter if you need one.
I must be missing something. I have Time Crisis 3 at home and the back of the packet says compatible with G-con45 and G-Con 2. I think G-Con45 is the original GunCon...?
