    PC Remote Control

Ok i am searching for a nice cheap remote control, for use with media player classic, zoom player, power dvd etc I have seen some on ebay but almost all of them are from china with a 1Gbp price -____- So any suggestions ? Get it cause it's cheap and risk buying a piece of plastic and small pcb or research more, buy later. Thanks.

ps: Sorry for my bad english :020:

I'd say research more becuase you never really know what you'll get from china and whether it'll be good quality or cheap. Also try searching ebay with with the location filter set to your preference and it should stop you seeing thone ones from china.

In terms of suggestions a (Windows Media Center Cyberlink) is pretty good as well as a (Dell Windows XP Media Center Centre MCE 2005 Remote).

The official MS one is good and not too badly priced.

The MCE remotes are fine, i use one with media portal and it works a treat.

One word of warning tho, the batteries that came with mine leaked after about a week and made a right mess - maybe a one off, but not worth the risk.

    Heh that's bad :banghead:

Well after reading some reviews, i found that ati has a nice remote and not so pricey [although shipping from us is a bit expensive, can't find it on europe territory :S] If anyone has used it, a small review would be nice. Thanks again.

If you own a Wii you could always use a Wiimote via bluetooth and GlovePIE. It worked really good for me, now I use a Logitech Harmony with my PC's infrared.

Thanks for the answers people :D

Well some info for anyone who wants a cheap solution [heh acdc is coming to Greece, must go  so no funds for remote :noooo:], i suggest a small progie called Joy To Key, runs at background and you can map keyboard keys or shortcuts to any gamepad that you may have plus it has a mouse "emulator" so you can map the mouse movement to the dpad or the analog stick. Well one little cool feature that it has for the mouse movement is that you can set the cursor's speed and additional you can map any button for slowing down even more for tasks that might need precision. Fianlly you can map any button to cycle through different set ups:rambo:
