The great giana sisters return (homebrewn dreamcast game)

Okay i'll repost this topic seeing as it was deleted.

I have been playing a nice new homebrewn game called the great giana's sisters return it's anice platformer mario clone.

More info can be found here:

    http://www.gianas-return.de/

    little quote from the site:

"Giana's Return" is based on a game called "The Great Giana Sisters (TM)". The original has been developed by Armin Gessert, Manfred Trenz and Chris Hülsbeck. "Giana's Return" is not a clone at all, but based on the original. It features 6 worlds witch each 6 levels, which makes a total of 36 levels. Each world has 2 tunes, of course the game also has various sound fx's plus titlemusic, game- over music and more. While the first world is rather easy you'll notice slight increase of difficulty in later worlds which should make the game worth a challenge. At level two and up you'll recieve passwords. There are not only passwords to start at decent levels, no, there are even passwords for hidden functions.

    I tried it...

I tried it. And It certainly did remind me of Super Mario Bros.

Then...I asked myself where the catchy music was...and the goofy plumber man...and who the weird girl was.

It captures the feel of SMB I guess...but it just feels weird.

does anyone know the history about the game ?
because i know the story behind this great game but i can´t tell the story in english.

but one thing is true Giana Sisters is an old SMB1 clone on the C64 computer and Chris Hülsbeck made the music.
