The CPU key is static for sure (just read the fuselines and you'll see) and I have never seen the keyvault change on a retail box at least (just dump the NAND after two upgrades, extract the KVs and compare to check). Since the devkit does not blow efuses (just dump the complete fuseset to check) the LVD data would remain unchanged (?) - unless there is some devkit magic going on.

I wish someone like tmbinc would comment on this. Would be nice to get some tips on how to repair these kits. Sooner or later it might be very helpful to other AG members.
I think im wrong, Like extremelly wrong I must have been high as fuck when I said this.

Take what I just said and throw it in the trash lol.

You can't convince a believer of anything; for their belief is not based on evidence, it's based on a deep seated need to believe.

I would suspect if you had a side car or an infectus chip you might be able to fix it. In a flash you are usually doing two parts one upating the boot memory and then the flash drive with a new dash and boot files. I know if it was just the flash drive you would get a e79 but if you put in the disc again it would go through it. Sometimes it can take a couple of times. The other part you are updating memory and were it points to. So if it is bad you need to be able to step thorugh it to see were it is off.

what would a sidecar do to this matter?
infectus is not needed... just pop in the recovery disc and use a WIRED controller

Interesting - that implies that the KV on dev boxes has to get regenerated (unlike retail boxes). I can dump the KV before and after a dev update and check...

I my opinion an Infectus is very handy. Remember that it is easy to lose video and network support on those early Zephyrs. I have not gotten a recovery disc to fix those problems - have you?

Yea those early Zephyrs are pretty buggy.
