Problem on a Katana DevBox - No more video

    Hi everybody,

I've a problem with my devbox : I can"t get any video output -VGA or Analog- since a power faillure.

    No audio also.

May be some components are damaged.

Also, I can"t reflash the GD-M since DBFlash don"t recognise it. If someone can give me a way to reflash the PLCC20 eeprom

    Thanks in adavance.

Man oh man! For a second I thought you were Evangelion-01 (another member on this forum)! I fell over my chair crying of laughter over that thought...

...anyway, try opening it up to see if all cables are connected. I'm assuming that you're trying to reflash it with the Katana SDK, correct? Also, what revision is your unit (the first 3 numbers of the serial # on the bottom)?

    Hi Mark30001,

My revision unit is 5.24, All cables are connected

When I switch on the unit, The HDD LED and the GD-Rom LED stay On.

    And nothing happen.

I will give you screenshots tomorrow about DBFlash and DAcheck

When you boot up your PC, what does it say in the SCSI connected devices readout? Does it list two devices?

Concerning the GD-M that is not recognised:
Sometimes this happens when there is a problem with the HDD...
I took my HDD out of the devkit, connected it to the internal connector of my 2940 (without changing any jumper of the HDD), and I did a sector check, created a new partition & formatted the drive as descibred in the docs.
After this cleaning of the HDD, the GD-M reappeared.... maybe this can solve part of your problem...
