This is also the piece of hardware I'm trying to get a custom OS on so it works just like the xbox 1 without booting to Windows (yick)

So if you know anything about going from Win2k or 2k3(preferred) or even xp to a very customized "dashboard" let me know.

You can download Xbox Media Center (Media Portal I think is the US port, or at least something similar)for the PC, and have it simply start when the PC starts. Change the boot logo for Windows and such as well.

I'd be curious if it was even possible to get it to run on "standard" pc hardware, given the XBox is basically an nForce1 with a "custom" p3 (good luck finding it in the mass market).

The XBox also runs just fine with another p3 swapped into it so it's obvious that it is somewhat flexible with it's hardware requirements.
