I think it is a normal CD-ROM for any PC use, back in the late 80s. Probably one of the most early CD-ROMs anyway.

Btw. this CD-ROM was sold and used in Germany.

The CD-ROM has the same connector as the PC Engine CD-ROM² system. I connected it to a PC Engine IFU, but it wasn't working properly and made only a strange noise.

46" in a tinny Japanese apartment? Break out the glasses :) My 37" is big enough. By the way, aren't the blacks really good on LED screens!

How is the sound from the cinema stand? I was going to buy one of them but in the end my friend gave me his Sony home theater set up. DTS, Dolby Digital, and standard analogue 5.1. Fantastic audio for gaming and movies but shit for music I found. Still, for free I can't complain.

Um, no. That's the main problem with TFT screens. Plasma and CRT both have much better black levels.
