Mega Drive games that require 6 button controllers

Are there any games that require (or are unplayable without) the 6 button controllers?
Sorry modern age, I don't feel like paying for something I can't hold in my hands...

I don't think so, although there are quite a few '6-button recommended' games like Comix Zone.

What, you weren't a fan of pressing start everytime to switch between punch and a kick?

so is MK2, for which the controller was released for I think , although u could combine buttons (which was lame)
You can ask for any old woman
You can ask for an army of ants
You can ask for a pillar of poison
You can ask for sheep and shavers

    And you can die for

Mortal Kombat II was fully playable on the 3-button controller and works pretty well actually. Atleast tons better than SF2.

The 6-button controller was released for Street Fighter II.

there are lots of games who use it, mostly fighting games

A more intriguing question would be which games actually use the "MODE" button?

MODE toggles the controller back into 3 button mode.

It was probably for backwards compatibility's sake. Incase there was a game made later that for some reason didn't behave properly in 6-button mode maybe. Back in the day I thought it was like a Select button. But you actually hold it down when you turn on the system to force 3 button mode.

One of that games is Golden Axe 2, it goes crazy with the 6 buttons enabled.

And if you have a 32x you want a 6 button controller. Not imprescindible but very very useful.

Yes, Golden Axe 2 is one of the games that doesn't like the 6 button pad as is Alien 3. I'm pretty sure that there are more games as well. There's probably a list on the net if you look hard enough.
