Well in a follow up to the 'my girlfriend left me' thread I thought I'd update you all and let you know that I have arrived in Korea.

I must say it's the best thing I've ever done, my school is really fun to work for and my apartment is out of this world and I've met some cool people.

A kick in the nuts came when my ex started messaging me the day I got here but heck, too far away to care now!!! And I've got a date on Sunday so it's all good.

Anyway, I'll pop some pics up soon if anyone is interested. I can imagine my activity on this board will drop some what but I'm sure I'll find some obscure gaming out here somewhere.

i'm thinking about going to Korea in the future, too. i'm currently watching a lot of Korean dramas to learn the language. :) also, studying some workbooks, too.

Congrats. Happy to hear you're on your feet and expanding your horizons. I know fuck all about Korean geography though. How far are you from Seoul? I think you should go blow your first pay check in Itaewan and it's neighboring shit holes. At least there you know when you're in a dodgy place. You sit down, and the girls go straight for the pants.

My missus is from Seoul and she is not high maintainance at all~
She took over whole lot and now I get my pocket money from her though... -__-;

I'm about a twenty minute train journey west of seoul centre, how far that is in km I have no idea i'm yet to get a sense of distance.

Went out last night with my boss and all the teachers and one other ex pat who I work with, so me and 7 girls spent the night getting absolutely wasted and doing kareoke. They're a lot of fun and very hot but I can see why some may say high maintenance, they want alot of attention all of the time.

I'm off to hongdae on saturday which is apparently similar to itaewon but nicer.
