I was searching the forum the other day regarding Capcom's CPS Changer and came across an article written by a former member who got a hold of the unit. Unfortunately the link was dead, but I was able to read the article via internet archive machine:
http://web.archive.org/web/200703281...es/cpschanger/
I know that the CPS Changer is basically a supergun, but what I am curious about is that he mentions,
"The audio output isn't JAMMA spec either, and seems - although this isn't confirmed - to be already suitable for use with home audio systems, where normally JAMMA games are designed for use with speakers." - What exactly does this mean? Would the audio from a standard JAMMA pcb work on this unit then? (as opposed to actual CPS games)
He also mentions, "The CPS Changer can be used as a great home JAMMA playing system, except for two small flaws: The design of the JAMMA connector makes it difficult to connect to many PCBs, and the standard JAMMA audio is not handled well, so another method of connecting the audio is required." - Another method of connecting audio?
If anyone has any info on this it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
BTW - Sorry if this is in the wrong area...I was unsure if this belonged in the Arcade/Supergun area or not due to of the nature of the question...but it is a console (technically I think??! lol).
