does anyone know where I can find the picture of kisado(?) hucard adaptor?
I have below two different types of hucard adaptor but was told there were/are three different types of converter and Kisado is the best.
any help/lead will be greatly appreciated as always... :)

I don't know why people think Kisados are any better than the rest, they all do the f-ing same thing. I suppose the only difference is quality. The best thing you can do is buy yourself a brand new converter with a nice new connector.

thought (1) is what they calls Diver style?
what's the main difference between Kisado and Diver then?

The Diver or Diving Board, doesn't bear the Kisado name. The one I posted is a brand new Kisado clone, like the Kisado, you insert the Hucard facing away from the console. Thats the big difference...
I've never used a converter, but all but the Kisado are known to be steaming pile, and are prown to breaking. The Kisado i the only one w/ a proven track record (henc the price). There's a reason they sell for well over $100.
funny thing is kisado is/was made in Australia but never heard of it nor met anyone locally who knew about it... :p
hmm... maybe entire production batch was exported?

Actually, the Kisado is American/Canadian (I can't remember). The one I sent you to is an extremely recent clone made in Australia. The real reason why people pay $100-300 for them is because people are stupid (and because there is a lot of misinformation spreading) Sometime recently I saw dj898's #2 style converter sell for around $100 on eBay, falsely labeled as Kisado... theres something seriously wrong with that. The Turbo Duo (not PCE) generally lack critical research skills and have a lot of money to burn on mediocre items which were never intended to (and shouldn't) be sold for so much.

Then it's not a real Kisado. Homebrew, maybe? Kisado production was stopped years ago (4 I think), and the designer/manufacturor (one guy, yeah?) said that he'd never make anymore...ever. If a converter works, it works for all games. Theres no middleground. Its exactly like saying a NES/Famicom or SFC adapter works better on some games, they all work the same because all it does is rearrange the HuCard pinout. The only difference between the converters is their build quality. probably, if you took an effort to modify the shitty "Barney" one or whatever one you can get for $20 to make better contact, you could get a device that works just as well as a Kisado.
So what is the nationality of the guy who made the original Kisado?
What I'd be impressed with is a 2-in-1 US2JP/JP2US converter, auto selecting or selectable by switch. (Of course you'd have to preform a mod on your JP PCE though...)

he does the mod for PC Engine/TurboGrafx among others...
both S-video out as well as region inc. hucard converter can be done on request...

i'm not sure, but I thought he was American. Ask on the Turbo List -- BT should know the guy by name.
And no -- not all games always work. For Hucards, i'm by no means the expert. For a system like the MegaDrive, there's a compatibility list. Certain games don't work with certain converters, and if I'm not mistaken, certain converters don't work with certain models. The Sega CD-X having the crappiest compatibility.
