now i am having a little problem as i am writing a DC book and had a thread there going with almost all White Labels including their item numbers and i have been foolish enough not to make any backups of that list

does anyone by any chance happen have stored these valuable infos?

I have the list on my site:

    http://www.dreamcast.es/textos/whitelabels.php

And I think I have some that are not on the list.

We can talk about that book, please PM your mail/messenger.

Nice to see that list is still going NaOnaK! Shame to see DChistory gone, I was going to visit there for the first time in months a few days ago but it was not there.

DC HIstory ended up becoming a porn bot haven. I would delete about 30 a day at some points.

I don't know what software DC History used, but it's relatively easy to install a captcha and end that problem. I've dealt with it over at DCEmulation.com.

So, is this domain like... history?

any updates? porn in forums isnt really a reason to take the website itself down too... i heard the owner of the domain didnt pay?

Hope he pops back up. He still owe me some review copies including the unreleased test drive cycles he had pictured on his website that I let him borrow last century.

Maybe the site will be back. It says it is coming soon if you type it into your browser.

I was wondering about this as well. Anyone have contact with the original owner? I tried e-mailing the current domain but it bounced, to no surprise.

    good news maybe:

"just" *cough* noticed a pm from 4 weeks ago!

    Lossl,,

I'm the admin for the server Dreamcasthistory.com used to reside on. I still have the data and will be keeping it for a while. WOLFran X (Jeff), one of the site's admins, wants to host a new version of the site using the old site's content at some point. I haven't heard from him on this since April, so I don't know what's up.

I also host Sega-16.com run by Ken Horowitz, and I'm suggesting that Jeff hook up with Ken and get something going for maybe a Sega-128.com or such.

Could you please post this to the DCH thread? Your admins are weird and won't let me post even after verifying my account. :icon_bigg

No kidding. Wish TK would revive DCH.

DCH will be back very soon.

Just so everyone knows, DCH will be back on-line very soon. I have already secured a new domain name (dreamcasthistory2.com). Before anyone asks, "Yes its the original DCH".
I'm waiting for the host to sort out a few details. If their are no complications, we should be back on-line within the next week, two at the most. We will be using the same host and all of the content is still on their server. In the event data was lost, I have everything back-up on my server.
As far as the forum is concerned, I will update to the latest version of phpBB. That should fix the problem with spam. Hopefully, I can keep the original MySQL database intact.
It would be a great if some (better still all) of the former forum moderators would return to assist me in maintaining the forum. I know many of you are members here at assembler.

I would like to return DCH to its former glory, and forget the sad state in which it ended...

If anyone would like to contact me (for the time being) this would be the place to do it.

    Best Regards,
    WOLFran

You can count me in on that. It's just good to know that DCH will be back. Just curious, any reason why you're not using the original domain?
