I put the ROM on my Xbox (haven't tried it on PC) and it runs pretty well under 1964. It refused to start with Project64.
My other option is UltraHLE, but as I recall it's an emulation antique. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
DocV64Jr. is a cartridge backup unit - see my avatar pic.Is there anyway to play this off a cart?
So I just tried this on my V64 and it says "This game is not designed to be played on this system" - I presume this is because the game is PAL and I have a NTSC N64. Is there a way to patch it to run, or do I need a PAL cart to plug into the V64 for the boot CIC...or a PAL N64? Thanks a lot, I really want to try this out.
You'll need a PAL system/converter and PAL TV or you'll need to hack the game using with an emulator, debugger or a GS/AR or you can try a premade pseudo video system conversion utility such as PALadin.
Thanks for the info. I tried Paladin and am able to remove the country check, but it won't display video properly. I have converted video from pal to ntsc with paladin and the video still flashes and is garbled. I think I have tried nearly every option and combination in paladin to get it to work :banghead:
Thanks for sharing, I'm gonna try it out tonight when I come home.
Alas, I cannot use bootemu because my PC is too far from my n64/tv........cest la vie!Use the Bootemulator.
Look on Dextrose.com
Nice! I have a Nintendo Power Post for this game...

Thanks for sharing this game. I've always preferred Project64 but this game works great with 1964.
wait wait wait - wasn't 40 winks released somewhere through a publisher on the nintendo 64?? I recall advertisments of the game as well as having played it on a n64 O_o

You probably have the PSX version in mind.Originally Posted by Barc0de

nope! it was the n64 version! i was under the impression it was only released in PAL or NTSC but not in the other format. But I have played it with an n64 pad and n64 graphics O_oOriginally Posted by MasterPhW

ROM boots up in sixtyforce v0.8.0 (OS X emulator) and when I choose English, it loads the splash screens for GT Interactive and Eurocom then crashes.
Have to say I'm in the same booth as you.Originally Posted by Barc0de
I never thought this game went totally unreleased on the N64. Maybe it just had a somewhat limited release (Kinda like Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine on the N64).
Thanks Borman =)

It does worry me that an image search brings up box art on websites with it's barcode :/
Thanks for sharing .
Works great on a Pal system with Pal television and a Z64.
Im just wondering why my z64 say region X instead of Pal or Ntsc .
