I'm not a pal expert but that is pretty rare, with spine too. One of the rarest pal releases for sure.

Its the holy grail for PAL Mega CD-collectors. A complete copy like yours would definately fetch some kind of money, I'd say about 350-500€.
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

Rare or not, it sure has an ugly cover. How does it play, I wonder?

I'd say its the third rarest PAL MCD game, Fatal Fury Special & Samurai Shodown are both rarer. The last one i saw ended at 72 Euros, but they generally go for more.

Really? Fair play I'll defer to an expert....although I've seen numerous copies of FFS and SS, I've even owned both. Not that rare imo, not compared to 2-3 years ago anyway when they were buggers to find, and not compared to BR in my limited experience of looking for mcd stuff. Seen far fewer BR, I guess I'm looking in the wrong place.

A couple years ago i'd have agreed that it was the rarest, but there have been loads appearing. I've seen 7 copies of B & R listed since around the beginning of Dec (not including the one in the link in this thread), 3 were in job lots, two of which finished early and were relisted without B & R, the other finished at just under 100 Euros, not bad to say there were 6 other games in the lot. The ones listed by themselves have fetched between 72 & 170 Euros. I haven't seen that many copies of FFS and SS put together all year.

This is why theres a sales forum with rules and a anonymous thread for evaluations.

there's been at least 6 fatal fury special in the last 5 months.
    one I sold
two from two french sellers (drake something and another one that didn't fetch its reserve price)
one spinned from a spanish seller bought by another spanish seller (who sold his un-spinned copy the following week)
    and another unspinned spanish copy.

I would personnally say the 3 have the same rarity.
It's a matter of "ebay period". One sells for lot of money (in the ffs case, mine was first. As for batman and robin, I would say that it was tonyb80's copy ) and then, many others appear.
I would however tend to say that samourai showdown is the rarest nowadays (seen only 3 this year: tonyb80, dyer60 and a french seller two weeks ago, jeux.videos I think) even though it used to popup rather frequently three years ago.

Can you tell me the prices that those ffs and B&R raised in auction? I want to know if the price I've paid for this one was ok...

    Thanks Ciberguile.

I will answer you. You paid too much for your copy. The game complete with spine card is about 250-300 €. You paid 400 €. But no problem for you (you usually pay too much for the games that you buy. Like tetris MD)

I recommend to you that you make that question before buying a game.
