So which screen shot shows corrupt text?
So which screen shot shows corrupt text?
The one with Marvin, Ada, and Leon.

Does that symbol which keeps repeating its self say east? I wouldn't be too concerned about this, I'm sure this one isolated image doesn't reflect the entire game for those who which to read the Japanese, for all we know this scene could be an unlocked "beta" scene (hard to say that as technically the entire game is beta, but you get what I mean), after all this is another modified screenshot since Marvin's model isn't present in this build. Undoubtably the script is going to be pretty bare bones but I'm sure some sense can be made out of it, after all it is presumably being translated, it can't be too messed up if they're able to make a translation in the first place.
Who knows, it could be like that for the most.
Who knows indeed. To speak facts instead of me speculating, I remember Alzaire saying the script in this build is very bare bones, when Curator played the game he needed people to help translate the text as he didn't know what was going on and had items which he had no clue of their function. I believe he also said that cutscenes were there but were very incomplete. I'd imagine it's a case of things getting progressively worse as the game goes on, filled with lots of placeholders to serve as nothing but a draft while they stitched the game together. Either way I can still understand the appeal to see the Japanese text for what it actually is, regardless of whether it's vague or makes absolutely no sense at all.
That's not even a translated string.

Let's go through this once again: that's not a translated screenshot, that's just a bad case of incorrectly replaced font face. Corrupted strings would show random symbols, not slices of font characters like in this picture. Not to mention that looks like a very WIP screenshot, meaning they'll probably get it to work the proper manner like they already did with the menu.
Of course you do. We all do. But if you took the effort to dig through any thread about the curator and the events you know that he doesn't have a copy himself. Collectors won't be impressed or willing to share a copy after childish "i wanna play it" fits. In fact, stuff like this is what contributed to missed out opportunities in the past.
There is plenty of material out there to read up on the topic (this thread from beginning to end is a good start) and I advise you to do that. You'll get the bigger picture then and don't need to bring up questions already answered.
Is there any source for the claim that both the modified and the original version will be released? I have read here so, but no quote from anyone supposedly involved in the modification process so far.
I have found something, but idk if someone already have this:
This is a mod for RE 2 (Platinum, English) wich ports rooms background from RE 1.5 by MartinBiohazard
EDIT: It works pretty well but only backgrounds are rendered, all the game art is the same of RE 2
Quick view of file contents:
I hope this was helpful
Here you can find Dark Biohazard's version

As Gemini said they're screens posted by Keiji Dragon. And no, don't ask him for more info about that screens

Of course, I was only pointing out you already posted those screens here, since some people usually don't even bother checking.

My sources have confirmed that the very build we are discussing is already in the hands of several people, right now. As i've been told, "it's only a matter of time" before it's released into the wild. It's owners are trying to extract and find every single bit of information about it before discussing details of anonymous release. It will rob this community of producing such findings, afterwards, but hey, beggars can't be choosers.
