I was oblivious, I remember that.
Yeah the source seems almost identical to playstation museum video.

It is exactly what I said earlier. It is impossible to recreate a few hundred pixel perfect (re)renders without having: a) The assets with the same unwrapping b) Exactely the same textures c) Excatly the same matrials which most likely includes the same renderer and the same lighting setup and postpro. We are taliking about PIXEL PERFECT recreations of about a couple of hundrets of CG renders and whoever thinks that technology helps recreating something like this is, sorry to say, just a completely clueless idiot (UNDERSTATEMENT) ;)

Someone could gently send me a link for the 1.5 pre-rendered backgrounds found in the trial edition?

xxxxxxxx,
Stop the spamming.
xxxxxxxx can't write a word without using Google translator or whatever service and you guys are actually expecting him to understand your posts?
But he is only so excite to be lay of 1.5 in the futures of potential.
Anyway, always interesting to see new 1.5 stuff (if real, anyway) - but people's behavior whenever new content is on and about always frightens me.
I'm from Russia I the current 10 years and I have no idea how to write in your language without an interpreter!
I requested these files a little earlier in this very thread, so if you check back I'm sure the links will probably still be working.
On the subject of minor background differences in that 1.5 shot of a corridor with tiled walls especially, this reminds me of the areas in beta 2 where large sections are lighter than in the final version (this is particularly easy to notice on the first floor of the RPD, in particular where zombie arms attack you from through wooden boards placed over the windows and the surrounding corridors).
My guess is that Capcom had yet to properly colour match these portions following minor revisions to their design, or perhaps they might have even been subtle watermarks intended to identify the source of a prototype leak? Either way, it's not exclusive to one particular build and seems to have been a "feature" present throughout the development of Biohazard 2 in its various guises, which definitely makes the possibility of this latest source being genuine all the easier for me to believe!
I'm not exactly sure how Capcom produced their original renders outside of the aforementioned O2 and perhaps Softimage, but so far all fan efforts to recreate anything like the same quality have always fallen short in my opinion. While I'm not doubting that someone may indeed be capable of near-perfectly remaking the backgrounds of 1.5, can the same honestly be said of pixel-for-pixel polygonal models, right down to the texturing? I think we're honestly dealing with someone who has access to original assets, at least.
Although I'd be willing to admit my error if proved wrong, I truly am convinced that we're looking at a real copy of 1.5 here. Well, at least that will be the case if those responsible for this latest project keep to their word and release the original, unaltered disc in addition to their fixed copy.
From what I've seen so far, this is by far the closest we've ever got, and I'd hate to see a release jeopardised by overall negativity or doubt from the community. After all, there can only be so many bridges that we could get away with burning before any remaining opportunities to play this one escape us forever, I fear...

just offering an helpig hand in case someones need it; being staff here at at gamescollection can be of some use in some situations.
to be honest i can't care less about resident evil, but as a mod i have to monitor things around anyway.
btw i found your "tone" mildly offensive.
I'll create a monument to non-existance! Kefka, FFVI

Replace "retard" (which, IIRC, isn't even a real insult) with spammer, problem solved. Also, I'm not entirely sure 10 year old people should even have access to the internet. Ah, kids these days.

the files are easy to find, just use a TIM viewer and dig through the /COMMON/DATA/ folder on either the beta 2 disc, or the japanese trial discSomeone could gently send me a link for the 1.5 pre-rendered backgrounds found in the trial edition?

As worrisome as that seems, I expect some of these prototypes to also change hands along the way, making opportunities for new relationships. Not that that excuses bad behavior, of course. However, I want to note that some of the bad behavior has come from alleged owners of these prototypes, as well. Curator is a fine example, but also drunkdog306 from the LostLevels forums. So, it comes from both sides, which contributes to the harsh attitudes, as well. Basically, it's scary what 1.5 turns people into. Thus, I can see why this new mysterious group has gone to the lengths that it has to remain elusive. Still, this is the most courteous the 1.5 community has ever been, so, hopefully, it's enough to keep things progressing and the group delivers on its promises. I wager that even a 40% complete build will still satisfy the more excitable enthusiasts, making the remaining group, as a whole, seem more mellow. (That's a "best case scenario," of course.)
