That system looks IDENTICAL to my Dad's Celeron laptop...which he bought in England over a year ago :S

I can maintain that it's a perfectly good system.

    Sorry for hijack.

PM Sent. Here's hoping AMD has a better year in 2008.

AMD are better then Intel IMO. I have used AMD since the Thunderbird days and I dont care who gets quad core first or any of that crap. I have never had a AMD fail on me even when pushed to its limits. I always have, and always will buy there CPUs over Intels ^^

Also my Uncle has a similer Laptop and the thing is a tank, fell off his motorbike at 40mph and sat in the road for 15min before he went back to get it. Little bit of scraping around the edges of the lid but still works like a champ with no ill effects ;)

I don't have any particular experience that leads me to believe that AMD chips are more or less reliable than Intel's. I am still mad at Intel for screwing the whole Windows CE community and strongarming Microsoft into producing a defacto handheld device CPU monopoly. Intel doesn't get my money until they make that situation right again.
