Xbox360 Core Model has been discontinued

Yeah, at work we've pretty much taken down all displays for it and we won't be getting anymore. Wish Microsoft would've just not made the thing...

    about time
You can ask for any old woman
You can ask for an army of ants
You can ask for a pillar of poison
You can ask for sheep and shavers

    And you can die for
Be careful what you wish for

I haven't heard anything about a future price drop. I just know MS is silently getting rid of the Cores. Which they should've done... like... a week after they announced that model would exist.

It's a shame, they should have used the chance to allow games to use the HDD for caching data. Damned HDDless models fucked that up.

They do that anyways. Halo 3, Call of Duty 2 (I think), and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Possbily some more games that I am unaware of.

They actually cache to the HDD to decrease load times? I've never heard of that.

Yeah, it's obvious in Halo 3 because if you select a map it'll load, then you can change to say forge or custom gaema nd it won't have to load again.

Well, I'm glad that's over. I feel that the Core is a cheat for anybody and that it'll clear up the market a bit.

Oh, and The Core has a cack ending.

The replacement for the core is much nicer.

And you've tried this running off just a Memory Card and it's drastically different?
