Alas, the true problem wasn't even listed. Microsoft fucked up big time. For the limited editions, probably 70% of them had manufacturing problems in the cases, leaving most of the discs scratched. I also know a lot of other copies wouldn't work.

The one time Microsoft REALLY couldn't drop the ball... they did it in a big way.

    Waaaay more than that dude.

Thing is, Microsoft's packaging of discs has always been HORRIBLE. They just stack discs on each other on one holder like its no big deal. Probably trying to cut costs (slightly). But maybe this fiasco will teach them a lesson and they'll start doing it RIGHT!!!!

Are any of the discs so scratched they can't play? I thought it was just cosmetic in nature.

Some of them can. I'm not sure what the ratio is for how many can play and how many can't.

At any rate, I'm impressed that this is the ONLY snag for the Halo 3 launch thus far. Granted, its a very stupid one that shouldn't even have happened... but given that its the only one I guess that says something.

Halo 3 just claimed the life of my poor 360. I don't even like Halo, I just got it free from work :(
I agree to all auction Guidlines. Still.

Wow, that was one of the biggest bugs during the MP beta. They said that they would make the loading times faster, but I guess that they didn't...

I hope they make the difficulty setting more complex than making the enemies have 40x the hitpoints. It would be nice to see added enemies like in doom3.

When I played heroic, I noticed the game being more challenging in a un-cheap way. You do have weaker shields, but enemies used more tactics and stuff. Some of them yelled out plans and carried them out too.

Of course, it's AI....a few of them yelled something and proceeded to fall off a cliff.

On normal it is a lot easier, but everyone I know who did normal said it sucked/was short. On heroic it wasn't too hard, you get both achievements, and it was more enjoyable imo.

I pulled off a superjump today...I knew they wouldn't delete all the bugs but I would have thought this would be nearly top on there list for mp since loads of people did it in Halo 2
I take all Shenmue 3 rumors with a grain of salt...bigger than Lan Di's ego
