The Wii is amazingly underpowered compared to the other next gen consoles.
From what I have read i is about as powerful as the original xbox . Thats why yhe game looks like crap

Hahaha, very true. Its just a mixture of good graphics and good gameplay is always wanted. :lol: I think Super Mario Galaxy looks a ton better than this, and I am sure it will have much better gameplay too... But thats all speculation... Cant wait till' these games start coming out! :dance:
And as people have said, I am amazed that the DS version looks so great when compared to the Wii one. :icon_bigg
That's the main problem ! Devs can't say it's because of power and because we got used to next-gen graphics : at the moment, they are making games with cheap graphics, and that retrogrades in quality compared to GC (Wii best looking games are 2 GC titles : Zelda and RE 4 ! No wii exclusive released yet does better... And fake pictures of Mario Galaxy doesn't convince me much yet) ! And even if on the other hand the gameplay is advancing (very theorical to me though...), it makes feel the devs or more lazy than ever and that Nintendo is not that player friendly... Personal opinion.

Well, perhaps their main demographic (supposedly made up largely of casual gamers) doesn't care much about graphics for whatever reason. I agree with you about the graphics being worse than GC games, though. I recently played the new Super Monkey Ball game, and the graphics are worse than the old games, and the old games weren't some kind of technical marvel anyway!
I know the Wii is aimed at the casual/family gamer but i beleive that the wii's intended gamer audience is going to want more than just great gameplay,360 and ps3 graphics it won't be doing but if games can have graphics which are at least better than GC then it will make up for the lack of powe compared with ps3/360
Yup, gamers are not asking for PS3/360 graphics on Wii... But just something nice... Or at least decent... Not N64 era :s... And even if at the moment, Nintendo doesn't target gamer audience but people in general, this little game cannot lasts forever and it's obvious at one moment exceptations gonna raise and people may feel fooled with this kind of... things...
