It was a brilliant ending. What did you expect? An action packed hour of violence and guts... something the show never was (even up to the end). Cheers to David Chase. So fucking pulled the wool over everyone's eyes.

It was great and couldn't have been any better.
"(...)A One World Government and one-unit monetary system, under permanent non-elected hereditary oligarchists who self-select from among their numbers in the form of a feudal system as it was in the Middle Ages. In this One World entity, population will be limited by restrictions on the number of children per family, diseases, wars, famines, until 1 billion people who are useful to the ruling class, in areas which will be strictly and clearly defined, remain as the total world population." Dont let media feed you with lies. open your eyes and search information yourself.

Chase was right about how people need to be spoon fed closure for every little thing nowadays. The bitching everywhere over the ending proves that point. I thought it was the perfect ending possible for this type of show and applaud Chase for it. Different strokes for different folks though. There's always the chance the other endings that were filmed will show up on the DVD.
Well, it's rather brutal here. Right now we are advising all our clients to put everything they've got into canned food and shotguns.

    **SPOILERS***

I thought it was good as well. If anyone can tell me how the show should have ended to give "closure" then I'd like to hear them describe it. Even if Tony got shot you'd still have chaos in the mafia world and we'd all be here asking how that would play out and bitching at Chase for not giving us closure on that.

The showed talked a lot about the dangers in his life....you had talk of indictments, a funeral, a hit, an FBI flip, or just plain rotting away in jail with Junior. In the end it's him and Pauli sitting at the table in front of the meat shop. Before that table was where the group of guys would meet but they're all dead now.

So showing him with his family with someone watching was a good way to end. The music was really well done and the conversation seemed like they were finally starting to head in the right direction. But no matter how good things get there is always something that might be waiting for him around the next corner.

I think Chase did it perfectly....

Initially i thought the torrent i had downloaded wasn`t complete :icon_bigg i rewatched the ending and it made a lot more sense, i was very happy with the ending when i actually realised it was the ending.
he ambiguity of the ending was a pleasant surprise and really isn`t out of line with this season of the sopranos (first few episodes Tonys coma experiences).

I for one don`t need closure and don`t want to spend hours analyzing the various suggested outcomes. Great end to a great series, seems like the storylines were actually picking up again which was a shame.

It really seems like there was a period of little to no action and the show was becoming more and more about the relationships of the Sopranos immeadiate family and not the crime family. Also did no one else find it surprising the quick u-turns Tony and Phil made character wise after being ill.

Anyway The sopranos will always be one of my favourite shows and as far as people cancelling their subscriptions and complaining of being owed something, you are owed nothing :110:

The show seemed to end as it began, business as usual.

This is how they're leading into the movie, since there was talk of doing a movie when the series wrapped up...at least that was the plan a while back.

Well we got our ending on WWE Raw the next night (Vince Got Whacked)

but yeah the more I think about it the better it was. I'm taping it again tonight.

I find it funny Paulie is the only one from the start of the show still alive or inaction. Bobby's dead, Christoper, Sil may as well be and Uncle June doesn't even know who Tony is. Was anybody else touched when Tony actually saw June and GASP seemed to feel sorry for him? I'm getting a little teary eyed thinking about it.

As an Anime fan I'm used to to non endings so it's not as big a blow for me but 12 million other people are going to demand answers.

There's a few shows where the original cast is all but gone by the end. Oz anyone? I think there were literally 2 inmates, and only 3 other characters still alive for the finale that were in the first episode (or even first season).

i loved Oz it was shown at like 2am in the UK for years then i downloaded all like 6 seasons and pretty much watched them over a month. The turn around was pretty good seeing as it was a prison and the fresh faces kept the show well fresh. I only found out that adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje who played Adebisi in Oz and Mr Eko in Lost was English in the last year. Pretty much two thirds of the cast of The Wire are too.

I guess I'll have to go to someone else's house to see the last episode.(Should of renewed hbo myself, ah well). This last episode has to be better then the last episode of Seinfeld.

I hated the way Seinfeld ended it was just an unfair ending. Yeah they brought like EVERYONE from their past back but going to prison for stupid shit....

If only Larry David was still around at that point.

Speaking of whom remember when Uncle June thought Larry David was him and he was all like WHAT AM I DOING ON THE TV?

Funny Shit. Gotta love Uncle June.

Didn't Larry David return to write that episode I believe? Yeah curb your enthusiasm was a great show. I felt it revealed what he brought to Seinfeld. Btw, sorry for making this post go off topic.

Good question I'm not really sure if he did or not.

but that's one great thing about Sienfeld it actually got better as it went on not the other way around. the Last Season was the best.
