WTS / trade: Modded gamecube with viperchip and replacement case

    Hi guys

Up for sale i have a modded gamecube, ive asked assembler about listing this on here and he's ok with it as its a last gen system

    Heres what i have:

Standard UK Pal purple gamecube (dol-001) with the digital out on the back
replacement purple fullsize dvd lid (so you can use normal sizedvds on it) and ill include the original lid as well.

Has a viper mod chip fitted with the latest gcos bios installed (1.x)

    2x unofficial purple controllers

    1x unofficial memory card 59

    Powerpack

RGB scart and original composite lead

Laser unit was replaced about 2 months ago, and works fine, has not been tweaked, runs well on most cheapbrand mini-dvds.

    Original Box included

As per assember rules there are NO games or recordable media included in this sale

Would be ideal for a devver /homebrew coder to test code on, or just for imports as no need to use freeloader

i havent took any pictures as yet, as ive got to find it all out, but will do so shortly

looking for £60 including delivery to UK, overseas will be more for shipping depending on location.

i have some good refs on here, and my ebay account is console-cavern

any interest? post on here or pm me, hope someone has some use for this as it just gathering dust here as i no longer use it

    thanks

    Andy (diddydonn)

you willing to sell just the chip on it? I might be interested in it but theres 2 problems.

    1) Im USA so I wont have much use for the console itself (maybe if it was jap)

    2) Used cubes are 39.99 USD over here with a controller and all cords and your price is about 120 USD (i know its more because its modded and all but I could get a chip for like 20 and a new cube for 40 and it would be my region)

If you are willing to let the chip go seperate let me know, it would work in a US cube correct?

You are aware the modchip makes it region-free, right?

indeed thats correct, all you would need is a usa psu instead of the uk one, and sorry but im selling it as a whole unit, so i wouldnt sell the chip seperatly

didnt think of that!, when it boots into the gcos screen it defaults to 576i 50hz pal, but when you boot the game you can select video output (auto detect, force 480i 60hz, force 480p 60hz etc.) so you would need to make sure your tv could output in 50hz pal first.

hence why id rather post it to uk (as well as the high postage costs to overseas)

to be honest i have no idea, if its similar to uk, most tv's made within the last 10-15 years should support 50hz pal signals, as thats when uk tv's started to supports 60hz ntsc, best option would be to check with the specific tv manual to see if it is supprted

Most can now, at least all I have tried. As long as they have composite or better inputs anyway.

Nooooo! You can't expect even component CRT TV to support PAL much less a composite TV. Composite has been shipping on entry-level TVs for 15 years here, long before our market was saturated with cheap Chinese products which are the best candidates for multi-system support since they barely regionalize them.

still havent got round to upping this on ebay yet, as working my butt off at themo organising a pirate theme party at my house this weekend, but anyway, i digress,

would anyone consider a part trade on the gamecube for a modded sega saturn with a couple of games and rgb scart to get me started?
