The only thing i drink is beer and vodka. Don't smoke and don't use any type of drugs.

I quit smoking cannabis about 4 months ago, and only because I need a job. I thought it was a wonderful thing: my depression problems (not serious) went away, and I felt better overall (while I was NOT high). I quit cold turkey, and I'll tell you, peanuts are more addictive than marijuana/cannabis.
You know what is really addicitve? Buying things from Ebay! I wasted so much money on crap this year.....took me 2 months to quit, lol

Around here it is called snuff or dip. The guy in the Predator movie was probably "eating" chewing tobacco. It is similar, but you don't chew dip.

Well then anything is addictive. Comic books, ebay, pussy, video games, political rallies, fighting, etc. etc. ANYTHING is mentally addictive... saying Marijuana is, and others isn't, really gives weed a bad rap.weed is addictive, maybe not from its biological make up, but people cant do with out it. I think there's a point that a lot of people here are missing:
Heroin = drug
Ecstacy = drug
Marijuana = drug
Alcohol = drug
Tobacco = drug
The fact that they're legal doesn't make them any better... Just one more fucked up thing that the government has decided for you. In fact, with the exception of Heroin, the latter two are arguably the two most detrimental in the long run.
The best illustration of this was the opening seen of the movie Trainspotting, where Begby says, "no way I'd poision my body w/ that shite... all them fookin' chemicals" as he downs a shot of liquor.

For sure it is,if you get drunk often you get addicted very easy.It's not the beer everyday but getting drunk.You'll feel a strong need for alcohol and aren't able to control your consume (mental) and have very heavy withdrawal symptoms when you stop (physical) which will get most people to keep a certain alcohol level over the day for not feeling physical withdrawal symptoms.They won't get drunk anymore they just won't feel any withdrawal pain when they drink.Alcohol: Not physically addictive, but there ARE alcoholics.

Neither of these are physically addictive. Read my previous posts. I was a pack and a half smoker a day for 9 years. Never ONCE in 9 years, did I wake up in the middle of the night (6-8 hours) to have a smoke or have to go out on the wing of the plane to have a smoke during a 14 hour flight. If Tobacco was addictive, then smokers couldn't go the whole night sleeping w/o a cigarette. A smoker's trembling hands is due to mental addiction, and ANYTHING (not just drugs) is mentally addictive. Your body can still function in the absence of alcohol and tobacco when you're "addicted". For something like heroin, it doesn't work. You literally become sick (vomit, sweat, etc.) which is the definition of physical addiction. Physical addiction is almost impossible to stop cold turkey, and smokers stop cold turkey all the time.

I'm completely clean of anything except caffeine, which I suppose could be considered a drug if one wanted to. I'm not yet legal to drink alcohol (and with tasty things like root beer, don't really see the point in being in a hurry or trying to get some illegally), I'm not too interested in slowly killing myself with cigarettes (plus it wouldn't help with as much running as I do), and have absolutely no desire to try any sort of drugs whatsoever, as I don't need that shit in me and like having complete control over everything I say, do, and think.
Oh, and having a grandfather who died of a rare form of cancer that usually only shows up on people who are heavy drinkers and chain smokers is a bit of an incentive for me to stay away from the stuff altogether as well...
Wow, we are more similar than I thought. Like you, I love caffeine. Had a 44oz cup of Surge once :smt040 I am not old enough to drink alcohol, and I would rather drink Root Beer or Mountain Dew anyway, can't get drunk off soda. I don't somke becuse it will kill you, and since I really like Skateboarding it wouldn't do me any good. I have no desire to take drugs because I like having complete control of myself. And, My Grandpa died from lung cancer caused by heavy smoking. Anther reason why I stay away from tobacco.
That was another reason I quit smoking... I was trying to get in shape, and realized the smoke was holding me back big time. I hope nobody gets the wrong idea from my stance. I'm not pro-anything, but I'm not really anti either. I just think the general public is grossly mis-informed, especially about marijuana.
I did this on a dare once so I DO NOT recommend it but if you want a caffine kick to the johnson then try this. Four double expressos in a cup with ten packets of suger per expresso then down it in fifteen minutes. Tasted like shit and damn near gave me a heart attack but suprisingly I did not throw up. :drinkers:
the reason why i do not drink alcohol very often is because i do not like the feeling of being very drunk (only experinced it once when i was 12) and it was hotshots i drank (a mixture of vodka and black peppers candy thingys)
and i hate the taste of beer(i would rather puke than drinking a beer) and it is in some ways rare when you think of some of the scandinavian jokes that a Dane likes to drink lots of beer
(yeah i like to joke) ;-)
so if i want to drink alcohol it is when i want to drink because it taste good .
