    Nights on Wii?

Could this be it? or just another fanboy dream? judge by yourselves:

Its an ad on the official nintendo magazine, but if we look at the stars:

There was that poll at Sega.com asking which classic game you would want to see on the nextgen, but its too soon to show even a techdemo.

So is this the real thing? or just another big coincidence?

    Only time will tell...

"(...)A One World Government and one-unit monetary system, under permanent non-elected hereditary oligarchists who self-select from among their numbers in the form of a feudal system as it was in the Middle Ages. In this One World entity, population will be limited by restrictions on the number of children per family, diseases, wars, famines, until 1 billion people who are useful to the ruling class, in areas which will be strictly and clearly defined, remain as the total world population." Call me a fool but I think it's the real deal. There have been too many rumors flying around long before this ad from many different places. Not to mention Yuji Naka himself stated that the Wii is the perfect platform for a NiGHTS sequel. That adds up to whole lot of circumstantial evidence to just ignore. I think Nintendo intentionally put that in their April issue to keep people guessing.
Well, it's rather brutal here. Right now we are advising all our clients to put everything they've got into canned food and shotguns.

Wouldn't that be the best setting to make an april fools?

You know, for a moment I thought that it may be about mario galaxy, since mags take a while to publish stuff, not like the intertubes.

But its kinda stupid to say "we cant talk about that" when even myt dog knows about that game...

It may be a joke, but on the other hand I doubt they would use an entire page for that. Paper and ink doesnt grows on trees guys, and the ONM is more a corporate property than a office full of jokers, like some other mags are.

BTW, are there any pics of Air Nights? or just that CG from the DC in E398 and the controller mockup?

I'm iffy. The first mag heavly hints to nights but truthfuly I think the second mag can hint at anything including starfox.

Yet I guess now that Yuji left sonic team, I would not be suprised if sega goes though their archive looking to see what they can make a buck off.

I'm not to sure if we should be excited about this even if it IS the real deal.... New Sonic Team with no Naka doesn't seem so promising. And given Sega's current record with Sonic titles I would be very wary.

I'm sure I'd still buy it and enjoy it, but it may be an overall dissappointment.

Nights is a vastly overrated game. The graphics are grainy and the draw distance is next to null, as for the gameplay, I've played more complex games on my Commodore 64 (1983 hardware).

Thanks Shadow layer I really would love to see them

and ServiceGames, while Naka was a huge part of sonic team and may have brought greatness to the early games, this also meant he was a big part of the mediocre games.

Maybe he's had trouble recreating his past franchises.

I mean maybe things are starting to shape up. Alien syndrome and Sonic and The Secret Rings look great.

Still I do feel abit weird if he weren't to come back seeing as nights was his baby,.

There's always someone who knows best, isn't there  Try playing the game ! I agree that it is a bit over rated however NiGHTS is still a fine game that's well worth checking out. Just the fluency of the game is magical. not to mention it's a fantastic game for upping those high scores over time. NiGHTS certainly Kept me and many other games amused for quite some time. A new NiGHTS will be most welcome as long as they get the controls right.

I m a firm believer that a NiGHTS sequel should not merely repeat, but also expand the gameplay in the light of new technologies.

Controlling Nights from the side is fine, but i d love to control the flying joker from behind as well, rushing through levels in a constantly 'build-up' speed manner depending on performance etc.
You can ask for any old woman
You can ask for an army of ants
You can ask for a pillar of poison
You can ask for sheep and shavers

    And you can die for
Be careful what you wish for

Well since racing games in the wii make you "steer" with the wiimote (like a guy that plays a racing game for the first time:lol:) the Nights game could be controlled using the wiimote like if it was a toy plane, so you've to move it around as you want the joker to move in the virtual world.

    That would be neat:nod:
