I had substance and baisicly there were some side mission you could play seprately that had you playing as snake, but there about only 6 or 8 and they weren't long either. Substance biggest thing was all the vr missions added.

hm, actually I think that F-zero GX should have supported the SD-adaptor in order to support custom track building - but SEGA made the level engine an engine-at-all, as everything was made from the ground up for each level. F-zero X's ingenuity derived from its 'mix n match' ability thanks to the simple building blocks of each level - beautifully displayed in the X cup mode where random tracks were made on the fly!
You can ask for any old woman
You can ask for an army of ants
You can ask for a pillar of poison
You can ask for sheep and shavers

    And you can die for
Be careful what you wish for

If the controller was the problem, why not a 3rd party accessory to fix it?

I agree, but, then wouldn't it have made the game less stunning. Though it would be cool if they built the game so random tracks could be made.

Since I'm playing it at the moment...

    Yakuza

    - Japanese language option and a decent English translation that ditches all that excessive swearing.
    - Fixed camera behind Kazuma's head with look-around on the analogue stick ala Shenmue.
    - Progressive scan would have been nice too.
