    Concept NES Pics?

I've been looking for these for a while now. I remember in an older issue of Nintendo Power there was an NES anniversery special where they showed a bunch of pics of "concept" NES pics. The things looked really sleek and sported wireless controllers. (There's a memory of a piano or something in there too, not sure if I made that up or not). Does anyone know where I can find these?

The thing you metioned is on display at the Nintendo store in NY iirc. I'd give you pics but I have to get to bed.

If you visit Nintendo's corporate offices up in Washington you'll also find an archive of neat stuff on display there.

Those are awesome, thanks guys. The console itself though is quite a bit different from the pic I saw. In the one I'm remembering it was thin, wide, and very sleek. Looked like it was made out of metal and not plastic. Super shiny. I think those might have just been concept drawings, although I'd still like to see them. The controllers in the pics you guys show me look the same as they did in the concept drawings.

I don't think so, but honestly my memory surrounding the whole thing is pretty faulty.

Yes! The very top picture is the one of the ones I remember seeing! Ok, so that explains the sleekness. Thank you. You are my new god!

The guys on that forum made a huge mistake.

The Nintendo "Advanced Video System" wasn't the prototype of the NES that used tapes instead of carts.

It was supposed to be the US version of the Famicom Data Recorder.

There are more concept pictures here: http://www.nesworld.com/nes.htm

Some of them are really weird.

They have moved some stuff around and the display isn't as big as I remember it. That pic is from opening day, when I was there last in Nov of this year I noticed it was gone and the amount of Gameboy SP editions were less then I remebered as well.

I'll be back in Manhattan in Feb and will take updated pics of the display on the second floor.
