In Search of a PS2 TOOL DTL-T10000 or T15000 to buy

    Hello all,

I am new around here, but thought I might be able to get some help. I really want a PS2 DTL-T10000, T10000H, or T15000 (are these the only three models of the TOOL?) to buy. I have actually wanted a TOOL ever since PS2 was released. I think it is one of the coolest looking workstations, and would like to learn a little more about PS2 dev (I had a PS2 Linux kit).

Anyway, does anyone here have any idea as to where I could purchase one from in the US? I have been searching ebay and doing google searches, but have come up with nothing.

Anyone here have a TOOL for sale? Thanks.

There's two or three available on Yahoo Japan at the moment. In general, a PS2 TOOL isn't as expensive as you might think, maybe $850 to $1500 for a 'loose' unit (without boxes and manuals etc) up to maybe $3000 to $4000 for a boxed unit with manuals, external hard drive etc.

Most TOOL sales will be removed from eBay, as the ownership of PS2 (and indeed all) development hardware is a legal grey area already discussed at length on these forums. Yahoo Japan and these forums are probably your best bet....

Thanks for the recommendations. It looks like the sellers of the various Japanese sales won't ship internationally.
