    http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/lynx.htm

Best Electronics...who I've bought from before...and are pretty good in spite of their sometimes high prices are very good...have that demo cart at 20 bucks...so I'd assume its worth a little bit less. They're surprisingly common.

True story: That demo cart stopped me from buying a Lynx back when it first came out. If i recall, its an unplayable demo...long story short, the game gear demo in Toys r Us (G Loc, I think) was. That sold me on it.

Thanks for the link. Wow those prices are way out of this world! I just bought several games they have listed for $3 - $5 each.

I remember a similar error with a GG.

The former owner may have fried something....

The Lynx was great.....My Dad went to the States on business in 1988 (I think) and bought me one back as a present.

My favourite games were Rygar (never did complete it, got to level 23 I think....and Scrapyard Dog).

Oh and it came with Blue Lightning - absoloute classic. I can still remember some of the pass codes!!!

There were 9 levels and if anyone wants them, I think they were:
    level 2 = "plan"
    level 4 = "bell"
    level 8 = "flea"
    level 9 = "life"

Can't remember the rest, I never did complete the game!

    Oh the memories........

My Lynx ended up breaking after about 2/3 years (up button constantly being fired even though I wasn't touching it). I wrote a letter to Atari but they didn't mend it for me as it was out of warranty.

The next handheld I got was a PSP 13 years later!

I really like Electrocop, I tried it in an emulator, but I haven't been able to find a copy anywhere around here. In fact...I think I've tried pretty much all of the games in an emulator. Long story short, Electrocop is amazing.

I didn't like double dragon a whole lot though...It looks pretty, but the sprites seem waaaaay too big, and the game is as hard as hell.

I have Zarlor Mercenary...I like it...but I feel like like everything takes way too long to kill...I'd like it to play more like shooters where you can kill most things in one hit...those repeating patterns of enemies don't help it either...it still is waaaay better than Gates of Zendecon though...thats the only real fuckup by Epyx on that system...in my humble opinion.

I'm gonna say my favorites are: Todd's Adventures in Slime World, Xenophobe, Rampart...Warbirds...and Blue Lightning, out of what I have...

Can anybody recommend me some side scrollers for Lynx? The only one I have is Slime World, and I think thats amazing...does anything else come close to that?

PS: I find it funny how a ton of us here love Lynx...I guess its not surprising, as it is a great system, but its funny that this has never really come up before...like an appreciation thread.
