EB-2000 prototype PS2 development system

Hello,
Still reading the TechRef disc, i found this:

Q: What is the EB2000?
The EB2000 and EB1000 was the old prototype PS2 development system which
interfaced to the Linux host directly via an interface card and cable, rather than over the
network. All EB2000s and EB1000s have long since have been exchanged for T10000s.

The picture is from a Sony Dev conference program/presentation:

In one of the newsgroups logs, a guy said that all the EB-2000 were sent back to Japan for being crushed, as they were replaced by the TOOL...

So any of you have seen this prototype, or have pictures of it?

It seems there is an older version of the ps2 devkit, the GS-Board attached to a DTL-H10100, any informations on those?

i found a new item to look for , never realized it was a complete alpha kit solution.

if these have all been returned to Japan & crushed i can imagine that any which have slipped through the net are going to be VERY expensive if they ever hit the open market!

That's what they attempted to do with the Microsoft Alpha units and they are out there... ;-)

I did see one being used as a trendy plant pot shelf in a senior managers office at an american developement studio. Didn't know it was a PS2 proto, just though it was some networking box or something, just looked at the photo closely and it was probably what I saw. This was 6 months ago, so it's likely it's still there and at least there is one around.
