Sonic Mars evolved into Sonic Xtreme. They even got a working crude 3D demo that ran on 32x hardware.
i remember when videogame depot use to proudly talk about it, then again this was at time when the import buisness was doing very well in the us. I wonder if the owners of the store decided to sell these prototypes.
Sonic Mars is Sonic Crackers; which we have a dumped playable prototype of. I don't know where you're getting your information.Originally Posted by madhatter256

Yeah I was fairly sure that people thought that Mars might have been crackers but that was disproved.
The "Crackers" game design turned into Knuckles Chaotix (32X), a game which I seem to be alone in liking.
You're not alone. There's two of us. :)Originally Posted by Alchy
Its more of an assumption. I got my info from lostlevels where they talked about the beginnings of Sonic Xtreme. According to that article they showcased an early techdemo of xtreme on 32x hardware so I thought maybe those two were related..Originally Posted by grap3fruitman
And it turns out my assumption was correct..

This game will make you a sociopath
++++++++++[>+++++++++++<-]++++++++++[>--.+++.-<-]>--.
The document is dated May 16 1994 and it lists final code at June 95. Wonder if anything was actually compiled.
$280 for a xeroxed copy design document. DDs really can't be sold for a lot of money, other than for sentimental value. But having the cart with the demo code on it is worth thousands....
