ASSEMbler Price Guide

Thinking maybe it would be a good idea to make up an ASSEMbler price guide to various systems.

There seems to be many posts asking how much stuff is worth. I reckon we should put together a list for as many consoles/hardware as we can, with a minimum/maximum price for each item, in $,£,Yen and Euros.

Stick to hardware, as trying to cover games too would be a nightmare.

So assuming all items are in good condition, go like this -

Yes, there might be much debate, but if we go through each item one at a time, giving values we find reasonable. Also use factual prices, like gamestores and Evilbay/Yahoo Japan. Use this thread to do all the debating for each system/hardware and then make a main database list on the ASSEMBler site, when we're all happy with the prices.

even boxed there are difference how complete and unboxed also differ in terms of items included...

Yeah, it will be a mission. But If we assume all prices for items, boxed or unboxed, are for a good condition item, with all the bits.

It's just mainly to give everyone an idea of what is reasonable or totally taking the pi$$. If pieces are missing, and you know what is reasonable for a complete item, then you'll know what to offer. Common sense rules.

I think your embarking on a pretty impossible mission because we all come from all over the world and prices vary sooo much depending on where your from.

You'd have to split up the prices almsot per continent/region to make a pricing list usefull. :smt017

I think its feasible if you break it down into U/C, J and PAL regions.

Because pricing is so relative on used things it might be wise to give a low, med and high quote for each item. This would take a LOT of research.

as previous post mentioned break down to regions and maybe separate members compile before merging them together...

I suspect Japan would have the most variations so it will be tough nut to crack. PAL and US will be less daunting though...

reckon it will be an on-going project for at least foreseeable future...

I agree, it's a decent idea, a good way to burn a little extra time anyway...
One minor point of clarification:
I think it'd be best to do simply a HIGH and LOW estimate, no need for a MED... you can figure it's between the HIGH and LOW.
