I picked this up for £7 on Amazon- it was a steal, and in perfect condition too.

i dont know where people got the idea of the softmod exploit titles being rare and expensive they're some of the most common titles on the system.

i already had my xbox softmodded via hotswap and xboxhdm + SID(or one of the auto installers i cant remember now)

but i decided to flash the TSOP just in case and used MechAssault (my original from back in the day) worked perfect, like a charm, but it was a pain in the ass making the chip write-able

the solder points to join are so small and although close together not easily joined with solder, i used 2 tiny pieces of copper wire and some tweezers

magnifying glass and fine soldering iron tip recommended! although i used neither lol.

Burnout 3 is what introduced takedowns :p
Honestly the traffic checking ruined the point of Burnout in the first place with Revenge. It's still fun, just waaay too different.

    A little bit?
Bah! You just can't appreciate a great game! :P
Actually, it might be because I have never played Burnout 3.
They have take downs in Burnout 3 right?

You mean there's people who didn't immediately turn off that annoying douchebag's comments in 3?

Bionicle games were made by Argonaut, which is where these boxes came from :)

The reason they likely say prototype (as mine does) is that August 2001 was the first time "Final Hardware" units were being shipped out, and thus hadnt gone under normal testing in the US. Later units dont say it.

And you can see the extra boards on my site :P

And you're sure the XBE can properly detect 1.6b mobos?
  15. HEX1GON's Avatar
1.1b when I check the version by an xbe.

    1.1b? Wait what?

Did you mean 1.6b or is there really a mystical, magical 1.1b revision I haven't heard about?

That's no problem. I believe it was a classics/platinum hits change. I know the classics version wasn't able to use the booster disc or the hacked skins didn't work... One of those problems.

I can't remember at this point :| I just recall the DOA3 tournament people wanting one version or another. Can't recall what the breakdown was by region, plus possibly platinum hits differences.
  19. HEX1GON's Avatar
There was a booster disc too. Not sure what version I own though. Know a way to tell?

DoA3 also had a few different game versions, which makes things fun.
